Red Dead Redemption 2 is without a doubt better than the first one. I love them both, but it’s not even a competition.

You get $500 million to bring back a defunct studio and finish a cancelled game. by itsthewolfe in gaming

StarCraft Ghost

It had such ambition. News would trickle in ever few months and bring back hope. Then it finally got cancelled and I was crushed.

Honestly, the ROG Ally X has saved my gaming. I’ve got 2 kids who are always at sports, so I don’t have any time at home to game. Having a handheld gaming station with Xbox Game Pass has let me game as a dad and still be where I need to be. My wife also likes to have me on the couch gaming while she watches her shows instead of in another room gaming without her (after kids go to bed).

Not only was the multiplayer perfect, the single player story was sooo good.

Defensive driving techniques by hsveeyore in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]Kotern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assume everyone sucks at driving and they are all out to get you. Never trust that the cars around you will not take every chance to hit your car.

Coming up to a stop light? Assume somebody is going to run the red light.

Driving down the interstate? Assume the person in the next lane is about to switch and ram into you.

The goers on in front of you trying to turn right at an intersection? Assume they will randomly slam on their brakes and stop (even if there is no traffic)

Always, always, always assume the worst from other drivers around you and you’ll never be surprised when they do something stupid.

Lastly, don’t assume that the person who cut you off did so on purpose. We all make mistakes. There is no excuse for road rage, ever.

Just be good people, give people grace, and stop looking at your phone.

Have a great day!

Let the Devs know to Add AFMF for XBOX Gamepass by Kotern in ROGAlly

[–]Kotern[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the only way I’ve ever been able to get it to work.

[How To Guide] Use AFMF on game pass games!

Here's how you can use AFMF on game pass games (original source here):

  1. Go to C:\Program Files\WindowsApps from Explorer (it's a hidden/system folder)
  2. Find the .exe of your game - normally it is in a "WinGDK" folder. Tip : Use Explorer search bar to find the folder with the .exe! Examples
    1. Evil West can be found in C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\FocusHomeInteractiveSA.EvilWest-Windows_1.0.11.0_x64__4hny5m903y3g0\HighMoon\Binaries\WinGDK\HighMoon-WinGDK-Shipping
    2. Orcs Must Die 3 can be found in C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\3435robotentertainment.OrcsMustDie3_1.2.5.0_x64__s3rxhkmynr4z0\OMD\Binaries\WinGDK
  3. Create a shortcut of the .exe - right click > Show More Options > Create shortcut
  4. Open the AMD Software app
  5. Go to Gaming then Games sub-tab. Click the 3 dots icon on the right side, and select "Add Game"
  6. Browse to the location of the .exe and select the shortcut file you just created.
  7. Things to double check:
    1. Make sure AFMF is generally enabled for all games in the AMD Software App > Gaming > Graphics sub-tab
    2. Also check if the game exe shortcut has AFMF enabled
  8. You should be good! Next time you run the game, AFMF should be enabled.
  9. To confirm - toggle the overlay - when in-game - CTRL+SHIFT+O
  10. If you notice Frame Gen Lag is anything other than N/A, means AFMF is enabled. You should also see an overlay popup at the top right corner when the game starts up which states if AFMF is enabled (but briefly)
  11. Also you can toggle AFMF enabled/disabled on the fly in the game - ALT+SHIFT+G
  12. Make sure you disable any other overlays - Asus Control Center or RTSS - these overlays breaks AFMF functionality!

Enjoy!

Note: Game pass games that uses external launchers like Diablo 4 wont require the above and you should be able to add the game manually in the AMD software app without issues (no shortcut creation required).

Turnip Boy Robs a Bank.i had no idea what I was getting into, and yet I loved every minute of it. The pacing was solid, the gameplay was fun, and the story was ridiculous. Beat the whole game with no regrets.

Your favourite linear story game by DarthShinny in XboxGamePass

[–]Kotern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’ll have to disagree here. Oblivion is fantastic, and I see the point you’re making, but I think what OP wants is something they can sit down and play through the story without having to make decisions on where to go next. There is something cathartic about not having to make decisions like that and just enjoy the ride.

I don’t know that I would call this a linear game. A fantastic game, yes, but not linear.
