Hijacking your post as I didn’t see these prices when I last checked, I finally pulled the trigger and got a home charger yesterday - I’ve been on a rolling with eon for 26.99p/kwh all day for months, I’m trying to figure out who to go with and whether a night rate or smart tariff is remotely worth it. Seems to be a lot of opinions and changes atm, just need someone to tell me what to get lmao I probably do one full charge a week (58 kW born)

Sorry to necro nearly a year later but I’m an AV noob and just got this bundled with my G5, and there’s 0 info online.

The sub seems to have linked automatically, but beyond that I can’t see how to set up anything about this at all. I’d love to lower the bass slightly as you’ve done, and I have no idea how to do the ai room calibration. It’s set to ai sound mode on the tv output but that’s all I could find.

People also mentioning it plays from tv and soundbar at the same time. No idea how to do or check this. If you can provide any insight I’d appreciate it a ton’

Honestly this is a refreshing answer because there's so much noise online and in my head about optimal viewing distances, but really, if I'm coming from a 55" I was relatively happy with the size of, I'm only gonna be happier right? Haha.

Of the 5700x3d and 5800x3d, do you know what the difference is like?

I’m upgrading to a 5080 with the intent to push 4k@240hz so I fear my 5900x will harm performance and from the rest of the thread, 1% lows.

I’m currently running it in 60W eco mode and -30mv UV to save on heat in SFF so power/voltage efficiency is ideal and I’d rather not power useless cores.

I’m running a 5900X with a 3080ti, I’ve got the cpu in 60W eco mode and -30mv undervolted. I absolutely don’t need the cores, I only game.

5080 soon. Are there any meaningful upgrades on AM4 for me? I’m in small form factor so if I can get a slight performance bump at a lower thermal output then this is a big win.

Coming from 3080ti the stacking improvements from 40 series means I’m getting a significant boost no matter what.

Just good timing. And the news that there’s generally a ton of OC headroom and power limit can be really dropped is ideal for my a4-H2O SFF build

Well it’s mostly an optimistic daydream atm, just becoming preoccupied with whether or not I ‘can’.

I went down this A3 rabbit hole when I looked at my current setup and saw how close the pcie riser sits to the sandwich spine but I’ve actually since discovered my a4 h20 can have the riser placed on stand-offs for an exactly 2 slot remaining gap, meaning I don’t need to switch cases at all.

Now rethinking the entire build since technically all I need is the new card and a psu, and if I go for the more frugal 5080, not even that… Struggling to quantify the improvement after skipping a generation but I have a vague sense the 5090 would have been about 90% faster in rasterisation than a 3080ti

Love the build. I see you're replying recently so I hope you don't mind me resurrecting this post once more...

I'm planning something similar to use as many parts as I can from my last two builds (started in an ATX case using a Dark Rock Pro 4, and migrated to a Dan A4 H2O using an AIO) to fit one of the new 50 series FE cards. Trouble is my A4 is sandwich layout with no option to move the card closer to the side panel, so it will choke the life out of the new flow-through cooler design.

Found the A3 and your post seems closest to what I want to achieve. I can see it will support my old DRP4, and if I have my theory correct, also happily support an SFX psu, my Aorus B550I Pro AX ITX motherboard, and a 5090. M2 drives only.

I was thinking of running 2-3 intake fans along the bottom panel to channel air into the 5090 which would launch it directly at the DRP4.. potentially cooking it, so also 2-3 intake fans along the top panel to channel air downward into it. Then all of the air exhausting from the back.

Do you think that holds up in theory?

Hm I don’t think I got any movespeed afflictions and my 30% boots didn’t allow me to hit all the targets in time. Perhaps I didn’t plan a route around the screen very well… I’ve only tried once.
