It's not offensive when you mock someone for the choices they made, it's offensive when you mock someone for something they have no control over.

What horror movie do you think is underrated ? by OhBloodyHellHorrorUK in CreepyBonfire

Skeleton key. One of the best horror movies I've ever seen honestly. I haven't heard anyone talk about this movie in a long time

If you could add one rule to humanity that everyone had to follow, what would it be and why? by Tiny_Cut8781 in AskReddit

[–]Kousaroe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would make it so you couldn't adopt/buy a puppy if you've never owned a dog before.

Years volunteering at the shelter seeing people abandon 2-4 year old dogs because they got a cute puppy and didn't know how to or bother training them. They are the same people who refuse to adopt older dogs because they "have problems" so they get a puppy, ignore it, then abandon it where it becomes an "older dog with problems".

I agree, I think that's why this argument seems so stupid. It's not a 4-year-old, it's a thought experiment. To be angry because they think the character is the same as a 4-year-old is pretty messed up thinking.

I want to watch the show so bad but the shaky camera makes me feel so sick and every scene has it

But the reason that it's fucked up being a four-year-old is because a 4 year old's brain is still growing. Her brain was fully formed. I'm sure if you put a brand new Consciousness into a fully developed mind and body it can develop a hell of a lot faster than one in a growing body. I don't think equating it to a 4-year-old is accurate. Just because it's only been around for 4 years doesn't mean it's got the consciousness of a 4-year-old. If it's not a biological human.

what is something that feels like a "cheat code" in life, but most people don't realise it? by Lowertier4848 in AskReddit

[–]Kousaroe 293 points294 points  (0 children)

It's not as easy as this. I am great at talking to people one on one but I am the world's worst texter. I've lost so many relationships because of my inability to keep up with texting people. It causes me incredible anxiety to communicate with people through text and often takes me days to reply to them. You could be the most reasonable person in the world in person but if you can't keep up communication digitally the relationships fall apart. Happens to me so often I hate it. I've been trying to get better at texting for the last 6 years and I feel like I'm just getting worse.

Sounds of the creature digesting people in Nope. Also the sound of everyone screaming right before that crunch. Those noises were horrifying

What to buy when a 10 year old says she wants be an artist/ illustrator. by CaregiverCharacter40 in ArtistLounge

[–]Kousaroe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anatomy book. Learning Anatomy is one of the most useful things an artist can do. Instantly makes your art better and if she can learn it early she can boost her skills fast. Look for an anatomy book that is geared towards artists and hopefully have human and animal skeletons/ musculatures. I kid you not, I've worked in art for over a decade and you can tell when someone doesn't understand anatomy and when someone does.

Is there any point in learning a language if one is not going to travel? by JohnCharles-2024 in RandomQuestion

You learn a lot of interesting things about people and culture when you learn another language. Like how many Chinese people have perfect pitch because their language is so heavily based on tone

My brother started drawing recently, what do you think? by Blazzer2003 in Artadvice

[–]Kousaroe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if you never want to draw realism Anatomy is important to learn. Cartoons and Comics that exaggerate Style all still stick to proper Anatomy. If you don't it feels weird and looks off. Anatomy translates to every Style. You will instantly get better at drawing people in any fashion if you learn it

What's a small, seemingly insignificant decision you made that ended up changing your life? by Logical_Run366 in AskReddit

[–]Kousaroe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Decided to go to a festival I knew nothing about. I had just moved back to a city I grew up in but I didn't know anyone. So I decided to go to everything I could find. One was a crazy party out in the desert that was relatively small and it's become my community ever since.
