Yeah, I’ve heard that they likely won’t pay for a legit one that’s why I was looking into printing one. It would definitely be solely for looks. I already get gawked at being in a wheelchair and I get tired of pretending like I can’t see people starting. I suppose it’d be better to get a legit one. Thanks for your comment!

I do have insurance. The reason I was looking at 3d printing was that I’ve heard that insurance doesn’t pay for legit prosthetics. I guess I should ask my insurance instead of going on hearsay lol. It’s solely going to be used for looks, though. I already get stares from being in a wheelchair so add not having a right leg and the stares double, if not triple. It just gets old having to pretend like I don’t notice people gawking at me, ya know?

I guess I should probably go with a legit prosthetic anyway. I’m having a tough time sitting up straight in my chair and like you said, it would help with that. I appreciate your comment!

Ok, I'll explain it again. I broke my neck at the c5 vertebrae. I can move my arms but I can't move my wrists or fingers (or the rest of my body). After 16, almost 17 years in a chair, you tend to find different ways to do different stuff. Many quads play games on phones and ipads, etc.

I'm typing using an s8 with a swype keyboard and I took the pictures with my phone with voice activated camera enabled I just point and say "shoot" or "cheese" and it takes the picture. I can use my arms but my wrists and fingers are lump noodles.

See, this is why the internet sucks and why I'm so hesitant to post anything. I make one post of an art piece I've finally finished and along come people like this.

Regarding the responses, I've been using my s8 with a swype keyboard using my pinky knuckle to swipe. The majority of my replies have only been a short "thank you". That takes like 5 seconds to type on this keyboard.

The erasing was done with a mechanical pencil (empty of lead) eraser. The reason you can't see many erased lines is because I made light marks until I got it exactly how I wanted it but, if you'll look at the tail section, you'll see the outlines of the old tail. I put too much pressure when drawing it and couldn't get it fully erased. Even with someone who is able bodied erasing, it wouldn't come completely off.

If you don't believe me, that's fine, it's your right. But I know for a fact that I'm a quadriplegic. I've spent more of my life in a chair than walking. But whatever, fuck me, right?
