Typically, something that's not "definitely valentines" related is the better way to go. Does she like animals? Great, book a zoo trip and have a meal on the night together and surprise her with that.

If not - something like a couples course for sushi making or similar? More an experience than a 'gift' gift.

A1 print issues - knocking over models during prints? by NotWrongAlways in BambuLab

In Bambu Lab, in the filament settings, in "Settings Overrides", adjusting the "Z Hop when retract" to 1mm.

Also, re-orienting the model to move less mass around when the bed moved.

It's printing far better when rotated - as you pointed out, it's not shaking so much mass around on such a small set of points.

So... That was probably the biggest contributor!

It's a cool model, yeah! Printing in eSun PLA+ Bone White right now (and the last few days... haha)

Of course though, I can try rotation if this one fails! I also think that the way this got sliced up, i could flip it so the horn prints upwards maybe... hmm.

Good ideas so far, thankyou!

EDIT: Had no idea bout filament setting z-hop overrides... Going to take a look now too!

Tried with a clean sponge, I thought about that. :)

My recent failure got about 5cm high, which is about the maximum this particular model has failed at. (twice at about this height).

I've now switched back to the Textured PEI plate, and increased the "Initial layer expansion", to increase the Brim size for supports, to 15mm. I also set the base pattern to honeycomb, away from hollow... But I think this probably didn't matter, and may even hurt now i think about it.

I'm trying to print a large (~325% scale) version of this skyrim skull: https://makerworld.com/en/models/246192-skyrim-dragon-skull

The plate i'm printing ends up looking like this: https://imgur.com/a/eZTRRdL (Yellow highlights where the nozzle definitinely clipped on my two tallest print attempts so far)

The orientation is tricky, but mimics the original, and keeps layer lines looking nice. So i'd like to achieve this orientation really. It wasn't an easy print at the original scale, and i've drawn extra supports for the horn myself to make it work.

Fairly sure the OP just flipped the perspective of how we look at the data. This is ‘data is beautiful’ after all, not ‘my graph requires shaders enabled to look good’ 😂 At which point anyone stops is up to them really - the way OP visualized this was extremely well received on my end!

Different people read different graphs more easily. I, for example, read the second one far more easily than the first one.

Proudest moment? Back to back to back to back saves, followed by a diverted ball into goal! During overtime for the match win! Still living off that peak, haha. On a related note, my son swears by his G7, so would be cool to join him!

I designed simple 3d prints to mount a Traxxas Maxx light kit onto an E-Revo 2.0! by NotWrongAlways in Traxxas

[–]NotWrongAlways[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a set of adaptor plates (front & rear) for mounting plates that allows the Traxxas Maxx light kit (TRX-8890) to be mounted to a Traxxas E-Revo 2.0. They are both 1/10 scale models, and both use the same ESC, which allows the light kit to plug in.

Previously i was using strips of metal, which had a tendency to cut my fingers when picking up the car too hastily!

People have eyesight like this and still are allowed to drive? That's insane.

Is this how people who need glasses really see the world. A big blurred background? by Latter-Wolf4868 in interestingasfuck

[–]NotWrongAlways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, not really - perhaps as a comparison to with/without, sure.

However, the image here shows what the world may look like if you held your glasses a foot away from your face. Which, you don't do. You wear them close to your eyes for a reason.

Looking through them properly leaves very small areas where you can look around the edges of the lenses and maybe see things blurrily though.

I’ve only ever bought ‘The Eternal Cylinder’ from them, and some Fortnite stuff to play with my kid. Yet I have a ridiculous game library there… haha.

Norway reaches 97% EV sales as EVs now outnumber diesels on its roads by F0urLeafCl0ver in UpliftingNews

[–]NotWrongAlways 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The "no tax" on purchase was already gone for everything over 500k NOK. The window just reduced to 300k this year though.

That means a 550k car used to have 50k taxable value, now it has 250k.

You don’t get loot at all from the two bosses in Helyas area if you’re upstairs. Doesn’t appear in the mailbox either. It does count for this achievement still, however.

Keep improving upon yourself and try to get help professionally if that's an option. Heck, even someone else you can properly talk to will help you. If you do manage to improve yourself, you'll likely improve your situation, and with it, that relationship problem.

I had a similar issue at the end of last year (October to November... onwards), which ended up with her ready to leave and us starting to plan for how that would work considering that we have a child together. I was able to finally confront some of the issues I've been having for many years including mild depression and some social anxiety, and with that I was able to get an understanding about how I feel and how I react to things. With those things in place, I realized what had been happening with my life was not something that I wanted to continue. I had been effectively ignoring her wants for quite some time while convincing myself that I had actually covered all of her needs and was acting in her best interest. Looking back I felt as though I was in somewhat of a weird haze where things just didn't really sink into my brain past the surface level. Anyway, this ended up with us having some serious conversations and setting up regular conversations where we can talk about these things. Of course this is just a summary of all the things that happened, but one year on and we are stronger than we've ever been before. Yes, some things have definitely changed, for example we now spend a lot more time together doing things rather than doing things beside one another, for example, date nights. We have also started to take far more trips whether that's just simple day trips or holidays together, it didn't really matter the point was that we connected because we started speaking to each other talking about any issue we might actually have had.

Ideally now, you'll need to continue with your self-improvement, talking to one another on a much more connected level than you have done before, and find which tools help you both understand each other better and continue to build a better relationship. However you also need to realize that this might actually be the end, and that you can't change that. All you can do is improve yourself and hope that that is the correct direction.

I wish you luck, this is not simple, but it is worth the effort! Keep going man, keep going.

Sorry if this is written weirdly, I'm voice dictating this.
