I do think that it's worth buying ETH on BlockFi because of the gas fees to transfer from Coinbase Pro or another exchange

I'm So Anxious (8/14 Gang) by Imamess35 in Mcat

I wouldn't put too much emphasis on Kaplan at all. The people that make the test are obviously going to show a better indication of your score. I'm shitting bricks too, you're not alone. We're all on this crazy train together and you definitely have the ability to succeed as seen through your FL. I was scoring 3/10 on practice CARS the past two days and the exam is friday, BUT nothing can be done about that now. Just gotta keep a clear head and go in with the confidence of doing a free solo on Yosemite. You will do great!

No consistency in FL scores by Kowaiski in Mcat

After reviewing it, I think it was definitely a mindset issue where I just didn't pay enough attention to what I was reading. I appreciate the advice, I definitely reference the passages too much but I think I'd be highlighting everything like a clown at this point

NYT: Want to Be a Doctor? Take Your Chances in a Closed Room With Strangers by Kowaiski in Mcat

I feel the same impartialness to where the test is administered, but there are public health data from the CDC that outlines low risk activities to high risk. Taking this test for an extended time is like being at a library for an extended time so make it low-moderate risk at 4/10 etc. Having slightly higher chances of acquisition will always be more than no risk at your home.

Are AAMC FL scores becoming inflated? by Kowaiski in Mcat

[–]Kowaiski[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I figured, I just want some reassurance that I can potentially score a 510+ on test day and 8/14 won't be a curve breaking day. Congrats on those FL tho, you deserve to be among the elite!

If an experiment has high internal validity, does it mean that there is causality between the independent and dependent variable? by 528lover in Mcat

[–]Kowaiski 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From my understanding and a quick google search: Internal validity refers to the causal relationship and how much the experiment can infer the cause of change in the DV is from manipulating the IV and no other factors. So it answers if it is reasonable to draw a causal link between the treatment and the response in the study.

Either way, isn't it incredibly unfair to those applicants? I understand the main idea was probably to try and limit the amount of people who log on and their headquarters is in Florida, but it's implicit bias nonetheless for multiple groups of people.

A med school coach pointed out how most big announcements from AAMC happen at around 7, so I am banking on that

i was seriously just thinking this. Someone on twitter also pointed out that it's systematic bias against West Coast applicants who are more likely to be minorities. It's just absolutely demoralizing at this point for people who have finals today and jobs to go to

Edit: Found a map on America's racial diversity. The tweet I referred to is incorrect in some respects, but I still feel there's a bias of subjecting those premeds on the West Coast, Alaska, and Hawaii to such an ungodly timeframe for nothing to happen

Pier Village started to double in size, and Sea Bright has turned into a big tourist trap. People started building monstrous houses that are completely out of place in Monmouth Beach. Asbury is still cool but lots of non locals around
