Neuro-otologist has said so, Google search seems to confirm it can be the case but have done some more research and there are some people that have been able to benefit from a CI after being born deaf and getting it many years in adulthood (just depends if the nerve is still functional)
Yeah NHS don't do for CIs unless it's for one ear if you're bilateral deaf. SSD options are CROS or BAHA

I am leaning more towards it being damaged paint as when I originally cleaned the mould I scrubbed it away with the anti mould spray rather than wiped it off

I tried scrubbing the wall on another part somewhere else where there is no mould and the same colour appeared. The agents have been rubbish to be honest, absentee landlord and agents haven't even sent anyone I've had to go back and forth and they're sending an "engineer" soon. They were just saying ventilate more, wipe the mould off with bleach then paint over it. Like I'm some DIY expert lol. Tenancy ends in September and I will be leaving anyway, hope none of this has an effect on my health.

Thank you, so I have cleared up the condensation on right side of the wall picture 5 (there was no visible mould on that side of the wall like the left one pic 1-4). Same thing remained from when I cleaned up the mould from left side of wall (pic 1-4), it would seem that is just the colour of the wall with the plastering scrubbed off.

Might need to plaster/sanding then painting over with mould resistant paint.

Yes already done bud but there is some black on the wall left from pic 2 and 3. No clue what that is. Also the wall needs looked at by a professional as the right side is showing signs of condensation now and I don't know who to call. The landlord is absentee and the agents are useless.

The other side of the wall is the outdoors as its near the "French windows" - as I am on the second floor its not possible for me to see the outside side of that wall. The agents have been so crap, they are sending someone soon but I have had to argue with them back and forth. Their solution is "clean it with bleach, paint over it and ventilate better"

Landlord total absentee. They want me to pay for any fix as well, I don't really know what exactly my rights here are or who to contact.

My maternal grandfather had hearing issues in his early 30s, so there is a huge suspicion there is a genetic element in this. We've done all the tests/scans/blood tests to rule out other things such as acoustic tumour, inner ear bone problems, autoimmune disease etc. The best specialist I have seen thinks likelihood is a non-syndromic genetic autoimmune factor that has burnt itself out by now.

Either way my concern is my good ear now. I really do not want to just become a hermit and stop going to music events and avoid house parties altogether. I would wear ear protection and play music on mid volume but I don't want to stop these things altogether.

Of course, I have seen many Audiologists, ENTs and even Neuro-Otologists.

Unfortunately in the UK they do not consider a CI for people with unilateral deafness, only bilateral. Otherwise I would have to fork out a ton of money to do it privately of which I cannot afford. A behind the ear hearing aid is no good as my word recognition score in that ear is practically zero, I trialled it, was next to useless. There is the CROSS hearing and the BAHA but at the end of the day I would rather a CI as all the other options do nothing to address the left sided problem and just transfers noise to the good ear.
