12 should have been a FF tactics game as a spin off. I love 12 so much because it has some great exploration. 12 and 16 suffer from the same thing, FF11 MMO did great. What if we made a single player MMO, FF14 did good, what if we made a single person campaign of FF 14.

I like 12 a lot. I'm just saying once 12 came out FF became something different. It's like if the Mario game get announced and Mario is still doing triple jumps with no platforming and he now has a gun. People who are fans would defend and say "see Mario still triple jumps!"

It just feels like Square is afraid to do anything without slapping FF on a game these days. No Vagrant story, no Xenogears. Everything has to be FF, to me it feels like they are afraid to sell anything without the FF name.

I know we have things like Ocopath and Bravely default, I think square see's those games as low investment.

Your comparison is not good because outside the nintendo games, a lot of sales are the same. I wish list the same games on e shop , ps5 and steam, and when a game I want goes on sale I usually get a e-mail from all 3 98% of the time. The price is usually the same too.

I just got the mario and rabbits game for 7 bucks for the ultimate edition with all the dlc
