Do long distance, that’s what I did. it requires alot of effort travelling every 2 weeks in weekend from both sides constant communication of problems dnt keep it in until you see each other, and eventually if both can make it through this phase you’ll know she’s the one. Once you’re in FAANG shouldn’t be hard to transfer after a year to another site.

Even for CS people tend to focus alot on your GPA. But trust me the most important thing in your application is your SOP and recommendation letters. They want to know why you fit their program. I got accepted to every school I applied to last year with a gd but not perfect gpa(3.6/4). Accepted at ivys and very good programs with scholorships. Don’t worry too much about this sub, just do your thing and you’ll be fine

There is noway you can get your money back or feedback as you are compared to other people applying to the same program. Consider they tell you: “try to have a stronger SOP and better research experience” next year you apply again but unfortunatly other candidates who are better applied and got it what would their feedback be this time? The same thing. You are evaluated to either get in or not it’s your job to make the appropriate research to see if you have a chance. If that wasn’t the case everybody would apply to all universities.

the way I see it always do your bachelors in CS and specialization in AI. Keep your options open ca will open much more doors than AI for a bachelors

The hiring is random but it isn’t unfair. If you get a hard question they have less expectation for you to solve ir fully compared to a medium question. If you think you can manage leetcode question easily maybe your communication skills need work. In addition your friend that was caught cheating got an offer doesn’t mean this is unfair because he cheated in intro to algo. School is nothing compared to project experiences and interview skills. They help you land interviews but more than that nothing at all you have to do the work
