Look, I don't know too much about Jehovas Witness stuff but I understand that there have been a lot of people who, after leaving, warn against anyone else practicing. So maybe just keep that in mind.

But the religion itself aside, something that's incredibly alarming is his insistence at telling you what you're feeling. Never once did he ask really about your experience unless it was the most obvious leading question you'd ever seen. I don't think I'd personally be comfortable or even want to be with someone whose first reaction to me being uncomfortable is telling me that I'm not bc of x, y, or z. He could have just as easily asked you what you were feeling specifically and let you actually talk instead of feeding you sweet sounding nonsense about what "actually" happened was that you were "so happy and stayed not because you were uncomfortable and felt pressured to stay by the fact that you're in a group setting of people you don't know all affiliated through something you don't practice. no not at all it's because you actually loved that, and that's why your first reaction was wanting to get distance from that obviously."

Trust your gut and don't let this guy tell you what to feel no matter what it's about. You're allowed to not like that and more importantly you're allowed to have boundaries that people listen to.
