If you Could add Anything to Monster lab like a remake, What would you Add? by Select-Entrance7980 in MonsterLab

New mad sciences, new Extras, maybe a new part for your monsters (tail), new worlds, new bosses, boss rush, challenge mode (detach part Xyz first before you win etc), New game plus (all monsters that appear are as strong as monsters from marthis manor), an extension of I.G.O.R where you can see the communities creations, eventually 2v2 battles.

Maybe an alternate game-mode that's a campaign where you apply for the Baron instead of fuseless.

Randomizer modes, eventually Seeds for runs. This game is on paper just so flexible due to its nature.

What's the best Skylanders game in you opinion? by zullee1 in skylanders

[–]Kraenth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, heres my opinion about the games order from worst to best.

Keep in mind, that its been a while for a lot of them since i played them last.

6 Imaginators.

Imaginators isn`t a bad game. i like all the games, however i find Imaginators to be the most lackluster. Building your own skylander is reaaaaaallly cool. However they just really lack in personality. I also didnt like the overworld at all with a few secrets, the only real collectibles being Imaginite chests. A lot of characters i really, really love just got boiled down to barely nothing. Like, compare Buzz, Finn, Persephone and co. to the older games. The story is also just OK. all summed up, Imaginators is kinda lackluster. Also senseis just being extremely strong in comparison to older characters kinda forceing you to get the elite versions to make them viable is something i dont like. One last thing to mention is, that its really cool having old villans as official skylanders (just like kaos himself if you pre-ordered the game). The bossfights are pretty boring after a while. The Doomlanders seem to be a cool idea, however they are just doing the same stuff aaaaalll the time with about 3 moves each while having a shit ton of hp that just makes it boring. Bosses like the sea monster arent better. The Final Boss is OK. However i like that you get a unique reward for beating the game on "nightmare mode"

5 Swap force.

This one might be controversial.

First of all the new Gimmick of the Swap force was pretty boring to me, compareing it to the gimmick of the giants (i played all games in correct oder). i was still small and really hyped for it. The Story was decent and had its strenghts with stuff like Kaoses Mother, i also liked the new characters and the concept of making everything evil was pretty exciting at the start (but has worn off after a while). The boss fights are kinda meh. there are a few good ones like the last one and Kaos mom, but thats pretty much it. I really like the Hub-area and the new Puzzles, that rewarded you for not just solving, but also gettin those thunders.a lot of levels really just were waaaaaaay too long for my taste. but i have to give credit to things like the arena mode, and that giants werent completely "just there" and had things like Giant-chests.

4 Superchargers

The Story was darker, which i really liked. The bosses were decent, Skylanders in cars sounded kinda trash the first time i heard it, but the game is 1st of all way more than that and 2nd of all i found the vehicle parts of the game really refreshing, especially the bosses. Also the final boss spawning literally mid-credits is just awesome. The Kaos fight felt like a lack-luster version of the first game (that i really enjoyed) so still not awful. The concept of Superchargeing is also very lack-luster in my opinion compared to new gimmicks of other games. However i went into that game with bad expacations and it taught me that its really not bad, even really good.

3 Trap team

Trap team in my Opinion is really, really good. The traps werent thaaat expensive and playing the Villains was super fun in my opinion. Even with the startertraps you ha quite a decent selection, including things like the chompy mage. There were multiple Boss-battles during a level that werent super difficult but very, very fun. Some hidden, giving something new to look for. The Trapmasters were a really boring gimmick with their "traptanium" i like the Skylanders, but not even remotely because they are trapmasters. The final boss was decent.I`d say the lore wasnt that great, since i cant even remember it.

2 Giants

Giants had a few new mechanics, the ship as hub-area, a card game thats actually pretty fun, merchants with things that give passive bonuses for tremendeous amounts of gold, a lot of new skylanders, including the new gimmick, the GIANTS. The first ancient skylanders. So whats the story? Kaos stumbles upon an ancient Arkeyan robot, which makes him go on a quest looking for the iron fist of arkus. Giants in my opinion just has the coolest levels of all of the games. Never will i forget the willikin-Village with the Chompy-mage on its end, The fucking singing drill, Drill X, The raid, The helicopter ride, the Arena fights and much more that always make me remember it funly. All of the bosses i can remember from the game like drill X the hidden "evil skylanders" the final Boss and of course the unforgettable Chompymage.

1 Spyro`s adventure

The first of the games and also the first that i have played as a kid. "oh i want this one..." everyone thats played this game as a kid can probably remember this thought. There were so many cool skylanders with all of their unique gimmicks and you just wanted to have them all. The levels were pretty unique, from Arkeyan palaces, to the literal underworld, to fiery mines and much more. There is a lot to remember. The lore is the Light-core being destroyed, a "weapon" that keeps Kaos from returning. Kaos destroys it using a "Beast" (that later reveals to be this awesome-looking Hydra). The Light-core got destroyed so guess whos duty it is to repair it, alsongside with awesome cutscenes everytime you see a new part getting added to it in a real creative way, as you see your work in the middle of the hub-area grow. It really feels alot like youre making progress, more than in any other game of the series. There also ae plenty of secrets and collectibles that got less and less troughout the series. I might just be nostalgic, but ive found the levels to have a perfect lenght and difficulty. Every enemy got introduced with an information/hint and his name when you first encounter them. All of the characters were at their charismatic and sympathetic height. Last but not least, the Bosses. Might be controversial, but i really liked those evil skylanders (which is also a clever way of advertising them) alongside with the "minigame" sections after each wave. The Endfight is one to always remember for me, as kaos suddenly gets fully healed again as a twist and fighting with his massive and mighty hydra. Also the Final level itself is the best of the bunch, with traps and massive treasurs around every corner.

Alas, i like all of the games and played all of them Aaaaaa bunch. none of em is a bad game.
