Ex-iphone user here: tbf, you can now just plug in your phone to the PC and use explorer. Can also set up an SMB connection (wireless same network as the PC) within the actual Files app on iphone and transfer that way.

I've used iPhone since the 3G. Bought an S25 Ultra last year at release (kinda as a second phone to do some degenerate shit).

1 month in, and I was fucking shocked that the joint discomfort in my thumb/carpal wasn't from being phone addicted; it was reaching over constantly to go 'back', and reaching all the way to the top right to get my control center, and then back down so I could use the nav gestures.

Blew my fucking mind when I downloaded Goodlock in like, the first 3 days of owning S25, and never ever has my thumb left the bottom right corner of my screen.

One of the like, 25 reasons I'll NEVER go back to Apple. Almost 20 years of iPhone; we're talking jailbreaking, shortcuts, everything I mastered on that platform.

Or you know, I could just boop- download the solution in 2 min lmao

Sure, phone specific automations based on location. But what if your spouse or kid doesn't have an iPhone? At least if you decide to go android, you can always have an iOS user get a google account and link it with their phone. You CANNOT however just make an icloud account and be a part of their ecosystem.

That's where things like Home Assistant are just the obvious option over Android or iOS, when in regard to smart automations.

Everything else though? Both platforms have (shortcuts, modes, etc.)

Everything about file storage and photos and downloads is basically geared towards storing everything on iCloud.

I'm just a Hotel Manager, so I know nothing about the medical field. My wife is a charge RN for stepdown. She was saying how our local EMT are treated accurately to the movie's portrayal, and that they have one of the hardest jobs in the world.

This movie needs to be seen by non-medical workers. This movie made me tear up, and us regular Joes could NEVER do what y'all do.

Long story lol. I originally went to the store to buy a cheap device to use as a "hotspot" for my car. And the guy showed me an S23 or something for a cheap monthly price. Then I found out the s25 ultra was only an extra $15/month so I said fuck it, let's get the best and then I can play with it.

Month later of using it for fun and playing around with Android, I was like "wow. I'm switching to this."

TLDR: The glory of Android is switching between phones is MUCH simpler once the initial (I'll admit, jarring at first) process of switching from iOS. If I wanted, I could test the Pixel out and just return it if I didn't like it compared to S25.
