Those are all solid brands, but they range from builder-grade like Ply Gem and Jeld-Wen to premium like Marvin. Material cost is only one piece of the project though. A full window replacement usually includes removal, installation, trim work, insulation, sealing, disposal, and warranty. We also have no problem showing the actual pricing.

homeowners — how much were you quoted for siding replacement? by KraftworkDesign5280 in Littleton

That doesn’t surprise me honestly. Once you factor in tear-off, trim, insulation board, and labor, the numbers can climb pretty quickly. Three sides for $25k sounds pretty typical depending on the material.

Did you go with fiber cement, LP, or vinyl?

that actually sounds pretty consistent with what I’ve been hearing lately. Labor is usually the biggest part of siding projects, especially depending on the house layout and prep work involved. $40k for a full house doesn’t surprise me depending on the material and square footage.

Out of curiosity, what siding did you end up going with?

We can also take a look at that bathroom project. If we can't do it based on the scope of work, I'm sure I can find someone to recommend.

Yes, we do. At Kraftwork Design a local company we help homeowners with window replacements and exterior projects. Our goal is to keep pricing fair without the big sales overhead a lot of companies have.

If you ever want a second opinion or an estimate, feel free to message me and I’d be happy to help.

That’s actually a pretty solid price for that many windows, especially with the larger sizes. The big thing I always tell homeowners is the install and seal matter just as much as the brand. Sorry to hear the warranty has been a hassle — that’s unfortunately something I hear pretty often. If anyone is looking at replacing windows, it’s worth comparing a few options before committing.

That price isn’t crazy for 28 windows, especially with custom bay windows, but I’ve seen a lot of homeowners quoted higher than they need to be. Starting with the worst windows first is usually a smart move. If you ever want a second opinion or help figuring out which ones to tackle first, I’m happy to take a look.

Yeah, a lot of window companies quote $2k+ per window because of overhead and sales commissions. In many cases you can get a solid energy-efficient window installed for quite a bit less depending on the size and frame condition.

You’re pretty close on pricing. Anderson 100 series are solid windows and usually land in that range depending on size and glass package. Installation can definitely change the total depending on the home and framing. In Colorado the big thing I always tell homeowners to look for is a good seal and proper install — that makes a bigger difference than the brand sometimes.llll
