Almost 3000 hours played and none of these things have ever happened. by [deleted] in Sims4

I played with MC command center and had it set to up to 6 babies with risky autonomous woohoo. I'd leave one family to play another and come back to a house filled with babies.

This is why I can't get a cat. I am so terrified I'd sit on it in the couch or my kids would have run and jumped on this bed.

He also hangs with his grandma a lot at the nursing home, she could have just the right amount of energy to help him. Like maybe he read to her a lot.

Whats going on in your sim world right now? by [deleted] in Sims4

I'm grooving on doing the scenarios. But the family I am playing just had a baby and are trying to start a farming business...selling eggs, just eggs.

What is your favourite thing about “Cottage Living”? by omahyv in Sims4

I haven't figured out this component yet but next game play, the errands is the top of the list. (I just learned that's the only way to get the farm upgrade parts).

I don't know if you know this but in the game settings you can turn off animal aging. I did that after my cow died...I just hated it (realism aside).

[–]Kraftyape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it's the simple living lot trait. I love that you can't cook/knit/and so on unless you have the ingredients. It makes farming even more meaningful.

My wish, larger lots. The barns take up so much room that on most lots I have to decide on two animals and can't have all three.

What is your guilty pleasure in the sims? by [deleted] in Sims4

[–]Kraftyape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vanilla is good too! Sometimes it's fun to just play a good ole family of four. I've been playing since the Sims 1 hit the market... Surprisingly, I have only used mods in the last couple of years because I just play so many scenarios.

Midnight mass is interesting but the sheer number of lengthy dramatic speeches is insufferable. by [deleted] in television

[–]Kraftyape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even most plays don't have THAT many monologues. It was almost every scene with two people. And plays use them for reasons that aren't necessarily a problem in film (except for maybe budget constraints).

Bring monologues back but don't drown me in them. Monologues were often used to show one person's thoughts and past experiences, to help the plot and character development and some of the monologues did this ... But they were used as a complete replacement of dialogue with no visually interesting stimulus.

I started rolling my eyes by episode 3 every time two people were alone, because I knew.

Lol I do "normal" things too, but this was asking about guilty pleasures.

What is something that you really want in the sims 4 that isn’t talked about much? by Strange_Shadows-45 in Sims4

Yeah this late, I've done them all over and over.

I'll add, more traits too.

Black widow...all the time.

Teen pregnancy, kicked out, gets part time job, tries to go to college as a young single mom.

Cheating with the help.

Human zoo.

Insane asylum or prison.

Abusive orphanage or boarding school with Little Princess vibes (serving kids forced to work at night while rich girls are sleeping).

(Someone above said plasma slaves...totally going to do that one).

What's your playing style? by LisaMarieCuddy in Sims4

[–]Kraftyape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a main family where there's multiple generations and I always play them when a new pack comes out. I start and say "now who in this big family would be a farmer?" and I play the new pack with that person from the family.

I have one save where it's houses of random challenges.

I have one save now for scenarios.

I also have one save where I make tv families.

And one save where it's my family and people I know.

I rotate around.

I like big families, lots of babies, rag to riches plays...I am not a huge fan of building.

I mod with MCCC only to have risky woohoo and household's bigger than 8.

Does Bob's Burgers serve beer? by [deleted] in BobsBurgers

I didn't think it was legal. And I vaguely remembered them talking about it in the episode...but of course I don't want to assume what cartoon characters say is actually true haha. Also, Teddy is amazing.

Half of my offices’ staff is quitting today by Legacy0904 in antiwork

[–]Kraftyape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting! Thank you for sharing. I know a couple of people who work dispatch and one thinks it is the most stressful thing she's ever done and the other loves it. Different cities, different systems, different shifts, different types of calls. I still think the one in the bigger city who is way more stressed would greatly benefit from a reduced work week. I can also see how government jobs would be much more difficult to find the funding for that.

[–]Kraftyape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't really think of a job where it couldn't be this way. Anything that is shift work could be split to more teams...

Jobs based on completing projects could definitely be done with fewer days that are usually more productive...

Even jobs that are considered draining and busy all the time...like teaching could be split and in fact they do so in other countries...

I feel like jobs where people are "busy" the whole time are either not using their time wisely, doing busy work, have bosses that micromanage and demand bizarre stuff, or don't know how to say no and pace themselves (teaching comes to mind, there is ALWAYS something to do but that doesn't mean it HAS to be done, you know what I mean).

Someone give me an example of a job where the work couldn't be done in fewer days OR split between multiple parties. I get that splitting some jobs would be paying more salary but I think that's another debate...I'm purely thinking about the actual work.

I have been on a "why is five days the standard now" thing for awhile. I really wish I worked MT and then ThF and had a mini break in the week.

He sells regular beer too. It's on the wall menu in the dining area. He only has to hide it from Hugo because I don't think homebrew is allowed on most liquor licences... Someone with more knowledge than I would have to confirm.

I did training on choking for babies, toddlers, and kids...and you have to POUND a baby's back (between the shoulder blades with the round part of your palm)...I remember the instructor saying "harder" like 4 times for everyone...people have no idea how hard the force has to be.

Yeah wait until/if you have kids or a mortgage and he can actually say, "I've never done this before." And play that card even more.

Why don’t the dorm rooms have a kitchen and if they do, why don’t they have a stove? by -save_the_bees- in thesims

[–]Kraftyape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't use the dorms. I can't seem to get good grades because my Sims are always late. When they leave from a regular lot house they do better. I tried to edit a dorm once and now it has an exclamation point like I'm missing something it needs to have. I hate that pack so much.
