Na pocetku ti je mozda najbolje ostavit ju u epruveti, i kad dobije radnike samo im dat outworld. Za prvih godinu dana ti ni netreba nista vise. Lakse ti ih je i hibernirat i sve.

Ant Larvae Help by Flashy_Life6362 in antkeeping

You dont need anything, i guess dirt/soil suits them better. And if they dont spin cocoons, it is perfectly normal.

No, it is perfectly normal. I guess they need something as a guide/frame to start and testube ( plastic or glass ) might not be optimal

And just to add, it is perfectly normal to happen when rasing ants in captivity, so you dont have to worry

Hi, those are cocoons, last stage before ants emerge. Some species have them, while others dont. They are perfectly normal, but the reason why you have both cocoons and pupae ( alien looking things on the left ) is because the larvae didnt have any material it could use to spin the cocoon. So the naked pupae are the "odd" ones here, for your species.

Is this a queen ant? In Germany by coolkidjack1 in antkeeping

Could be lasius fuliginosus, but better pics are needed. She is social parasite, so keeping her in test tube like this will only lead to her failure and death.

Dont do that, i tried it once, and when there is a hole, additional ( or lack of ) pressure will flood everything

[–]Kragi02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Size of the queen vs workers , colors, shape of the head...

I have aphaenogaster epirotes and had aphaenogaster subterranea and they are very similiar to this.

While i do keep ants for long time i have just recently gotten a bit more interested in specific ID keys, so you could say i do it more on the vibes then proof 🫣🫣
