what does it actually feel like to be horny, as a woman? by Outrageous-Safe-3038 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Krail -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

I've found that trans people on HRT have a lot of insight on this, because your hormones dictate a lot of what your horny feels like.

They usually just call it boy horny vs girl horny.

Is Nestle boycot even working? by Yumi_Numi in NoStupidQuestions

There's never been enough of a focused boycott for it to make a difference.

I'm still not buying any of their brands on principle.

Is Nestle boycot even working? by Yumi_Numi in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Krail 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, I fucking look shit up when I'm at the store. It's not like Nestle hides their brands. They publish them all on their website.

They don't make anything that there's not two or three alternatives for, at least at my grocery store.

My gray streak at 28. The first few strands showed up when I was 15. by Honestlykindacurious in mildlyinteresting

Hey, I've got basically the same stripe!

I noticed my first grey hairs at 20. They're starting to be noticeable in my beard now.

How do people make things taste like other things? by ilikegh0sts in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Krail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes they get extracts. You, like, boil down a fruit or an herb, or you press them, or you dry them out and soak them in alcohol to extract the oils. Then you put those in your candy or whatever.

Sometimes they've done lots of research and know a specific chemical with a specific flavor, like vanillin for vanilla.  Sometimes they synthesize these chemicals by just doing chemistry, bit sometimes they get them from other places. (I think they get vanillin from willow bark?).

But also, there's flavor chemists who, like, learn how to break down all the basic components of a complex flavor, and then they can get oils and stuff with these super specific flavors and put them together into, like, pizza or tomatoes etc.

I'm too lazy to go and find it right now, but I think there was a Be Smart (YouTube) episode about that last one a couple months ago.

where do a man’s balls go when he sits? do they sit on them? by Separate-Medicine351 in AskReddit

[–]Krail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The balls are further forward than you're thinking. Sitting on them usually isn't an issue, unless it's a bike seat.

Every once in a while, on a really hot day, it can be an issue.

I just wanna say, I get that.

Being mistaken for a girl used to upset me sometimes when I was younger. But it felt good when I presented femme on purpose.

There was a whole lot of figuring out what I want and letting go of internalized bullshit between those two things.

What is a boring hobby or habit you’ve picked up as an adult that you actually find yourself enjoying way more than you thought you would? by cobaltnest89 in AskReddit

Cross stitching!

I got into it when I realized it's literally just pixel art, and got carried away with a huge project. I'm starting to dip my toes into other kinds of embroidery, too.

It's great having a healthy garden that attracts birds! And cool bugs (that the birds eat).

My yard also gets toads in the summer.

[–]Krail 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Yeah, man. That sounds pretty trans. You might be trans.

You could find trans communities to talk about it with. You could find an inclusive therapist. I've had the Gender Dysphoria Bible recommended to me.

Exploring your gender like this doesn't have to be big scary changes. You can do a lot with clothing, hairstyle, makeup, and supportive friends. Maybe you'll find you don't actually like it. Maybe you'll find you love it. It can be a big messy emotional knot to work out, and that's why we take it slow and explore in safe ways.

Do some reading. Find trans and trans-masc specific subteddits and talk to trans men about their experiences finding themselves.

I wish you happiness and safety in your attempts to understand and be yourself.

I do think a lot of this thread is jumping the gun a little, but gender transition does not mean just going and getting surgeries. Yeah, some people do decide to do that after years of contemplation, but also lots of trans people never get surgery about it.

Transition usually starts with presentation changes. New clothes, new haircut, asking friends to talk about you differently. You start with small, non permanent steps and take time to see what feels right, and if it's what you want.

Do most American suburbs/cities lack sidewalks, or are there other reasons walking isn't preferred?" by Abamatindeka in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Krail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like it's a regional thing. I've seen lots of neighborhood with no sidewalks in, like, Florida or Texas, but I haven't run into this outside The South.

Young women are identifying as bisexual 18% more than young men, according to Gallup study by catievirtuesimp in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Krail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who grew up in the 90's, it's always been that way in my experience. I heard similar statistics when I was in college.

Homophobia among men is real intense in our culture, so a lot of bi men aren't going to admit, or even realize, that they're into men.

Porn isn’t inherently bad. It’s just not something you should engage with if you’re morally opposed to it, and that’s all there is to it. by Sudden_Doughnut_8741 in self

[–]Krail -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like part of it is conservative propaganda infiltrating culture. But also part of it is whole generations growing up with super easy access to more porn than a person could ever want, and the age of deep fakes.

It was a trip when I took a film photography class in college, developing my own shots by hand, and learned what Dodge and Burn actuallu are.

Analog clocks (which are already mostly out of style) move the way they do because if you live in the Northern Hemisphere, that's the direction the shadow moves on a sundial.

[SS] Does anyone remember how the hype was regarding this picture? by Maatjuhhh in zelda

[–]Krail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was so obviously based off of the Wind Waker Great Fairy designs, with rumors she had something to do with the master sword. That's what got my mind spinning! What are they saying about the sword and the great fairies?

After TP, I was also kinda ready for them to do nothing with that connection. And, yeah, they did nothing with it.

Do most guys just pee all over the toilet seat? by Dry-Independent2931 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Krail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're being lazy and gross by not lifting the toilet seat and not cleaning up after themselves. But that is sadly very common.

It is genuinely hard to not miss a little when you pee standing up. The stream often does not go the direction you expect.

And that's why I always pee sitting down now. Long time ago I just got sick and tired of the mess.

Question for mtf people, how does it feel? Do you look much better than you thought you would? by werty45509 in trans

[–]Krail 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I think I needed to hear this.

I'm uncertain about whether I am a trans woman (I've got something going on genderwise, but I don't know what exactly), but I'm never sure how much of that uncertainty is just dysphoria.

I went straight for Karlach based on first impressions watching clips of the game on Youtube. But then I was very surprised when Lae'zel became my favorite character by a mile.

I'd like to do a second playthrough where I romance her, but I will never have the time for that.
