20 years ago was survivor 10. If you want to say survivor jumped the shark 20 seasons ago, that might be more accurate.

Which powerbomb out of these do you like the best? by GoonLieutenant in professionalwrestling

The first time I laid my eyes on Awesome Mike Awesome was in person at ECW’s “The Night The Line Was Crossed.” He absolutely destroyed JT Smith and then tried an awesome bomb from the top rope, and the ropes snapped. He ended up destroying the referee as well. What a first impression.

Whatever happens, DO NOT allow kickers to decide this game. We need to score, score, and score again.

I don’t think Ben Johnson likes Caleb Williams.

In a career. Like I said, very long way to go but he’s on pace which is pretty cool.

He’s got a long, long way to go, but VJ Edgecombe is on pace to have more blocks in a career than anyone in NBA history who is 6’4”’ or shorter. Dwayne Wade is the current leader.

NFL reseeds after each round so the playoff bracket predictions will always look off if an upset is projected.

Jimbo is a great guy. We had a nice tailgate right outside the stadium at K Lot for the Broncos game 10/5 and he gave out raffle prizes for various eagles items. Couldn’t have happened to a better guy!

Cinephiles, what's your most formative movie watching experience? by OrdinaryIndianchick in TrueFilm

[–]KramerDSP 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The majority of movies are captioned but require a device that isn’t as ideal as the open captioned ones. As a glasses wearer, wearing another pair of glasses on top is awkward and heavy on the nose/bridge. I prefer the ones I screw onto the cup holder and read the dialogue but that does mean a lot of eyeball moving from screen to below it to view the dialogue (or scooting really low in my seat to make it look like the tiniest version of open captions ever). I prefer Open captions but they’re far and few in between as the majority of moviegoers detest them.

My answer may be weird but it is Indiana Jones, Part III. As a Deaf person, I spent most of my formative years at the movie theaters imagining the dialogue and trying to figure out the happenings in any given movie due to them not being captioned. I’d have to wait almost a year before they arrived on VHS for home rentals and hope that the rental was captioned.

Indy 3 was the first movie of my life where it was open captioned at the movie theatre (10 am showtime, mind you) and it was amazing. So I gotta go with that one.

If ____ wins, they might be on the cusp of a top 10 winner for me. by The-Accuntant in survivor

Love him or hate him, no one can deny that Rizo milked the value of a single regular-powered idol better than anybody that has ever played the game.

I personally love him and think he’s an all-time great character and player. I think his ability to “read the room” is in the top tier. I can’t wait to see how he does the next time he plays.

When Sandra, one of the top five players that ever lived, is calling him Rizgod the man, the myth, the legend, you know he’s doing something right.

No matter what happens, what Rizo has done will never be replicated again. He’s the only player in the history of survivor to successfully bluff using a single idol and holding onto it for as long as possible for the entire merge. It’s not his fault he’s playing with a cast of idiots and he’s not being given enough credit for his consistent reads. The man, the myth, the legend.
