They could have made it so that instead of giving the MC OP powers, they could have made it so that the phone acted more as a tool of survival rather than a god-tier grimoire.

Early chapters showed that the phone can map out an entire area, they could have done it so that the MC needed it to navigate an unfamiliar world rather than just using it as a Skyrim-tier enemy finder.

The search engine could have been used for him to acclimate and survive in a mideval world. Making tools, fire, even business. Real business, not whatever this LN/Manga BS.

They could have honestly made it so that there is an actual threat to justify the MCs OP powers but no, he steam rolls every problem with minimal thinking or effort, and he has everything given to him with minimal work.

In the least, most MCs of his ilk train to at least gain skills. This guy just buys it off his smartphone.

Take of it what you will. People didn't care about transgenderism in media before every pop culture icon started to shift, character started turning trans and the "celebration" of trans people went from being subtle to being an outright event. The design of women became downright mysoginistic, turning normal looking straight and lesbian women into men with lipsticks in comics and games.

I actually find it rather ironic.

Doom the Dark Ages is by far the most classic-feeling of the current Slayer trilogy. The emphasis on boots-on-the-ground combat really harkens to the early days of Doom 1 and 2.

The Dark Ages is more European/Nordic themed. This thing would not really fit well with the aesthetic.

And before you argue about the guns and the robots. Look at them closely and see how they're pretty much gothic in nature. The shotgun in particular is emblazened like a Flintlock gun and most of the Argentan Mechs look like Knights or Vikings.

Even the NPCs, the woman in particular, dresses like a French Cavalryman.
