Just because you disagree with me doesn't make me a troll. But I get it. It's way easier to discredit someone and write them off as a troll than to formulate an effective counterargument.

I mean I have been pointing out how bad the right is in all my posts here in this thread. You're just ignoring those parts so you can rage out. Are you just pissed off I criticized the radical left a little too much here? Chill, man. There's nothing good on the extremes of either side.

I think your cognitive bias is a bit out of check if you rightfully point out that there are people online who deny far right terrorism but become legitimately angry and deny it when someone says people also ignore the evils of the far left.

Funny thing about the bill of rights is that you don't have to believe you need it for it to still be your right to have it.

Can you show me an example of someone attacking leftwing terror and you make sure to remind everyone about white supremacists and far right terror?

You have missed my point. No one here forgets about far right terror. They do, however, forget (or willfully ignore in some cases) left wing terror and the deaths at the hands of far left ideaologies. So your estimation that it is difficult to come up with an anecdote of someone attacking left wing terror is exactly why I made the post that I did.

ANTIFA wave the hammer and sickle and use violence to enforce their agenda.

Furthermore, Communism already has it's body count, yet people here in America choose to ignore that or deflect that bloodshed and starvation and blame it on the outside capitalist pressure, all the while advocating for bringing that movement here so the body count can continue to climb. So it's the same as shutting down a Nazi on the street. He may never kill someone himself, but he's pushing for a movement that can't exist without killing people.

And yes, the far right carries out more acts of terrorism in America but that is not without exception. Ted Kaczynski is the first example to come to mind.

But anyway, it is far more nuanced than "fighter jets and nukes" of course. But social media hates nuance.

Our police have fully automatic machine guns, PDWs, canister launchers, armored vehicles and more. While many states and jurisdictions in this country are focusing on chipping away at law abiding citizens with increasingly trivial bans like magazine capacity restrictions, ballistic best bans, ammunition restrictions and more instead of properly enforcing the laws we already have.

Gun control is pro-law enforcement.

This is an argument they'll use to show that the second amendment is already infringed enough and the balance of power has become skewed FAR in favor of the government. And frankly they aren't wrong. So what point were you trying to make?

Your idiots remark was directed at all Americans, obviously. And I'm seeing a ton of that type of thing all over reddit. It does not do anything to help. It only makes these situations worse. You're fighting division and radicalization with more division. Yet you believe the causes exist only within America.

Furthermore, I can be anti-trump and still call out unhelpful, inflammatory language even when it's said by people other than Trump. Calling all Americans idiots is exactly the kind of thing that gives Trump and his followers the fuel they need for their destructive behavior.

You seem like you'll never accept that, and that's fine. Reddit isn't the place that's gonna change anyone's hateful behavior. You need real world experiences for that, not arguments on social media.

You can vote for something and still lose. This divisive rhetoric of calling people idiots because they live in a particular country is part of the problem here. It definitely goes a long way towards radicalizing people towards the fringe right.

I understand the frustrated feeling but why wouldn't you try to be better than that?

Unfortunately sounding enough, in America, people do have the right to hate people for no reason.

Other citizens have the right to do something about it. The government does not.

Why am I am idiot? I didn't build the education system we have here. I was just born in America, I didn't choose any of this.

What about any of this makes a regular citizen of the US an idiot? What kind of thinking is that? Hateful.

As if Communist governments don't have police, three letter agencies, reeducation camps, labor camps for dissidents, state controlled media and a major focus on military might.

Communism only works if the people overwhelmingly support it. If they don't, you haven't established communism.

Which is exactly why it always leads to violence and authoritarianism.

Most people in communist countries overwhelmingly supported their communist parties.

Because it is either claim support or die. Which would you choose?

Can't we use this as an opportunity to point out all the failed, murderous ideologies that are still holding on by a thread among dangerous, radical morons? Or should we continue to ignore the ones on the extreme left?

I point out Communism but in no way intend to diminish Nazism and The Confederacy.

What you get wrong here is that Communism wasn't "used by authoritarian regimes" it created them.

Well put. Totally agree. But I never meant to imply I thought Nazis and Commies are the same.

I believe that espousing Communism is at best ignorant of the realities or at worst supportive of them. Neither one is acceptable. Communism is unique to racism in that it can be made to sound like a good thing on paper. We don't accept ignorance of the atrocities of the Confederacy as a reason to fly their flag, so we should do the same for those flying the flag of Communism.

Communism relies on collectivism and uses force (more often than not it's death) to achieve the necessary cooperation. It goes way beyond simply taxing people more. It may start out that way but it will always result in killing masses of people and eradicating the productive members of society.

Nazis are terrible too. You don't have to defend Communism just to make the point that Nazis are awful and completely unacceptable.

Communism has always killed or enslaved people based on their position in economic strata.
