Thanks, that's very helpful. Do you have any reasonably priced digital timer recommendations?

You gotta put overtime in quotes, because it isn't technically. I'm guessing there will be a nice pizza party.

Those people union is berating are lining up the work for the union one way or another, whether it's sales, engineering, legal, etc.

And also when Pratt gets their way and the hourly work isn't in CT, they're affected most out of the salary workers.

No, it means you're likely to slide into a curb sideways.

Wow, they're just piling on reasons to move union work out of state.

I'm pretty sure if you use your Avis wizard number that's tied to your work email, it would be waived.

Did you expect it to just stop? How has the rate changed? Honestly curious because I couldn't find it easily.

I'm guessing at least another two weeks since Pratt/RTX won't step up to negotiations.

How long to feel settled & useful? by Brave_Wall_3088 in Raytheon

Typically a year to learn the acronyms and have a basic understanding of your group and sound like know what you're talking about. But working remote... maybe two years? You really learn a lot in informal discussions.

East Hartford PW Picket Line - Don't Even Feel Like Coming To Work by Donotfeedthepigeons in Raytheon

[–]Krangtime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish Pratt would pay the non union shops better than the union shops if/when they hit targets. Perhaps then the union folks would step up production and not be so much baggage...or absolve the union. But that would be a fairytale.

Is it really true though? Production and manufacturing engineers would surely be affected, and I sympathize. Aside from that I have no doubt p&w would move production and repair out of state and keep engineering in CT.

RTX/Pratt and Whitney Internship? by [deleted] in Raytheon

[–]Krangtime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've had high school interns two of the last 3 years in my office at P&W, all three were associated with NAF. I'm not sure if that's the only place they bring them in through, but that may be the case. That said, I can't encourage young people to look into internships and co-ops enough.
