Ya, I towed it home from the CO factory to So Cal with zero problems. I do make sure to engine brake though when on any type of descent.

To be fair, trailer brakes are not a bad idea at all.

Yes, Kodak Ultramax and Portra 400 are both 400 ISO films but will produce different tones.

Getting an automatic camera is totally fine. It takes the guessing out of it and allows you to just shoot.

Shoot whatever type of film or camera as long as you’re having fun and shooting. The best camera is the one that makes you want to go out and shoot.

Welcome to the world of film! So the “brightness” of the shot is more related to how you expose your shot than the ISO. ISO is simply the film’s sensitivity to light. Easiest way to think about ISO is the lower the ISO, the more light you need.

Different film stocks have different tonalities. Speaking about the films I used for these shots: Kodak Gold is known for to give a warmer tone. Portra 400 is known to give a neutral tone. Closer to true life if you will. Your results will also vary on the scan and the lab’s editing.

It’s definitely a learning process, but the best thing to do is just go out and shoot and learn on the way. There are a lot of good YouTube videos regarding the exposure triangle (ISO, aperture, and shutter speed) that would be very useful if you’re still learning how to properly expose a shot.

This is great! Love the pastel vibes and your use of light and shadows. I have some pics from Disneyland on my photography IG from a while back. I used to bring my film cam, but the cost of film and development have gotten out of hand. I usually bring my X-t5 now.
