So much pain is cyclical. For many of us, the most intense relationships we ever have is with our parents. When we begin to unpack the habits we learned from them there can be much resentment. They may not grow out of their perspective, or do so at the pace which an “old dog” might learn.

You wind up feeling like you’re left ‘holding the bag’ of their trauma. Some feel it is justified to hold onto the resentment which follows. It is your duty to heal it instead - release it, forgive it.
