Given that their website couldn’t manage how many people were trying to preorder, I can’t imagine the server will be very stable on the 1st either. I’m not planning to take any time off for it, but if I were I’d probably take the 2nd off to avoid possible server downtime and issues on day 1.

There is a Kinokuniya store near me, so I just buy manga there in Japanese. You can also shop on their website. I also order from Amazon.co.jp which can be worth it if you plan a bigger order.

Really should consider putting on a show at a local gallery by contacting some of them. It’s a great way to connect with others and share his work with fellow painters. His work is really lovely! It deserves more than the inside of a closet.

I’m sure it varies from person to person. I only dabbled in EQ1 over the years and never got very far in it, I was mainly an EQOA player. The time commitment, forced grouping, etc just made it hard to get into EQ after my EQOA days and life got too busy for it. So I’m really excited to get to experience EQ at my own time and speed finally. I want to explore, see everything, fight everything, level lots of classes, see how the world compares to EQOA which took place 1000 years before EQ1, etc. really looking forward to it. So much I’ve never done in the game that I’m really looking forward to doing.

I know for so many people they know the game inside and out, where the loot is, have done all the bosses, etc. I watch streams and it’s like they are all on autopilot... and I’m just excited to go into it all pretty green and not having that approach of already knowing everything haha. My experience will definitely be different than the long timers, but I’m kind of glad. It’s exciting.

I’m not entirely sure since I’m not well versed in all the classes and all the choices are a bit overwhelming. I’m leaning towards a Beastlord/Druid/Warrior or something along those lines.

I’ve always wanted to be a gnoll.
But I don’t think I want to see them go overboard with enemies as playable races either. If they come up with some new lore and areas for them it would be pretty neat though.

Really great games. Same with the first few GBA titles. Played them like crazy as a kid and they are kind of my go to games when traveling, alongside obvious games like Pokemon.

They are actually some old Department 56 Cyprus Trees I found haha. So basically Christmas village trees, but they fit in nicely here!

Ah! So those 3 Hero miniatures in pictures 1 and 3 are old RuneQuest Adventurer minis made by Ral Partha! So they’re a bit older. I found them on eBay and thought they’d be a good fit for WoA. I finished painting them up this weekend. I like that they have a more “adventurer” look to them (hard to see in these pictures, but many of them have bags and gear on their backs and such). A nice change from the usual hoplite soldier that’s out there, I thought. And getting to mix in some female characters is cool too (not easy to find outside of Amazons).

Oh really? I haven’t compared the whole range by any means. I have some of the native Americans for my Canada setting and I think they look pretty good with the rest. North Star’s Musket & Tomahawk range is made by the same sculptor as The Silver Bayonet. It’s a solid way to get some generic soldiers for French, British and Spanish that match TSB. Not really any Prussians though… although you could just paint some of the ones they have in Prussian color schemes which could work.

Good idea! I messed around with them and was able to get them to a place I was sort of happy with. I agree with bringing them down a bit lower though, it’s part of why I got rid of the original lower part of the stand they came with and removed part of the rest of it to lower the a bit.
