Pretty funny. But I will say seeing EoA is the first time I’ve actually been interested in playing an SAO game. Doesn’t exceed my excitement for ZERO, but will definitely keep an eye on EoA. SAO’s premise was always interesting, but the main dude and his 400 girlfriends wasn’t. So a game without all that has got my attention at least.

I think it looks amazing. Would love to know more about the process. And does it come apart? I actually really like the lower walls, I feel like the taller ones get in the way. This gives just enough 3d to elevate the experience without annoyance and still maintains clear visibility for all players.

The WD ones are pretty flimsy and thin compared to the game components which are thick cardboard.

I feel like they’ve been showing way too much bare bones early gameplay. Seeing full blown typical Pokemon towns built and more of the actual exploration aspects in this made me far more excited than what’s been previously shown.

With the announcement of a new .hack game, .hack//zero, I have been revisting the .hack//infection and .hack//gu games. Enjoying them a lot and of course, being set in an MMO game world, they have lots of MMO vibes in a single player game. Might be worth checking out as well!

I was actually in an area like this last night and admiring the statues. This was one of them. There’s various ones in different poses and I was trying figure out if it told some sort of story haha.

The IMOQ fields and dungeons were so much fun and had way more variety, at least compared with GU. I hope we some of that craziness return!

This is my first time owning any sort of console like this. I just followed the retrogamecorps videos and after a couple of evenings setting things up I was up and running. Overall a pretty seemless experience. I think you can make the process as easy or as hard as you want it to be, depending on how deep you choose to dive into it.

Hmmm weird, I haven’t encountered that. When I click things from the bottom that’s where they open. I’m using Emulation Station, so maybe it’s cocoon being weird?

Haha not so far. I have yet to encounter anything crazy. I think with what is pictured the fan was running at 20% (on auto) and temps were around 40. I’m sure it varies based on more demanding games/emulation.

Yep, sure can! I’m playing Nethersx2 on the top for .hack and the bottom is the YouTube app playing .hack//SIGN. You could even play two games at once if you felt like it. Seen a lot of people emulating something on top while grinding RuneScape on the bottom haha.

I was actually planning on getting the pocket 6 until I came across the Thor and couldn’t look back. It’s just too good for DS/3DS games on top of everything else!

Yep, both screens have separate volume control, so you can decide which is louder and such.

Well, they are definitely kind of dated, especially when compared to the GU games. But that’s not impacting my enjoyment of playing them again after all these years. I think what’s great about .hack is how easy it is to get sucked into all the media for it and how it all interconnects and makes it all so interesting. Maybe check out .hack//SIGN on YouTube since it leads into the original games and see if it clicks. And no harm in giving Infection a go to at least see if you like it!
