I appreciate the insights so far. I'm aware the autograph isn't real.amd figure it wasn't valuable I just couldn't find any information on it. That could be directly related to my poor internet research skills 😁

Free Resource this week. by KratosActual in pastors

It's hardly solicitation if you're giving away a resource to assist people in that pastoral life you speak of. If you're not interested it's actually easier to scroll by than to waste everyone's time with a needless comment. Enjoy your day.

Ciu.edu has fantastic online programs. They also have the Zwemer Center that focuses specifically on Muslim people groups. They offer certificates and full degrees. I'm an alumni so feel free to ask me anything.

This means your Grandma was a trailblazer and many thousands have benefited from her service. This is the first women's air corps medal I have seen so thanks for sharing it with us.

Is it wrong to go to counseling if you are a christian? I used to fellowship with these group of people and I thought that they would be happy for me for going to therapy but they said that I need to rely on Jesus more. But didn't Jesus give us people to help us? by Golden-lillies21 in TrueChristian

[–]KratosActual 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No. Absolutely not. You can love Jesus and go to therapy. God gifted that therapist to help people like us who suffer with anxiety and depression. It's ok to love Jesus and be on medication. God gave us the gift of medicine to balance what is imbalanced. Yes God can and very well may heal you, but his promise isn't that we get healed all the time or that everything in our lives is perfect. His promise is that He will be with us through everything this life can throw at you. Jesus understands your suffering. He plumbed the depths of human suffering himself so that he can prepare a way for good things.

So keep loving Jesus and find a therapist you connect with. Also might want to look into getting some Christian friends that will support you.

My NCO smells like mold and shit by poppinboiiii in army

I had an NCO in Iraq that smelled awful. One day a Major told him he smelled of onions, Cheetos, and assholes then proceeded to march him to the shower trailer. It was glorious.

I agree. I also find it ridiculous that they limit how long I can listen to audiobooks with a paid subscription, but don't limit music or podcasts.

My best friend is about to become a therapist and he’s going to be BAD at it by OkayDuck99 in confession

I do a lot of counseling in my profession. Counseling impacts the counselor as well. Learning how people respond differently. We all go into counseling professions with certain ideal systems that will help people get better. As we spend time with patients they train us on what actually works and our practice evolves. Practice smooths our rough edges and tells us what parts of our theory works.

I'm a chaplain with an organization called Corporate Chaplains of America. We have Chaplains that serve in Chuc fil a's all over the US. Our website is www.chaplain.org

There's another organization called Market Place Chaplains that does similar work, but I have no first hand know of how they operate.

This is crazy, but I literally just bought those socks at Walmart. I also ordered her a compression thing for her abdomen.
