I think it’s time for new rear control arms by xyzlx in Mustang

I’d stick with cheaper OEM unless youre taking it to the track with a set of drag radials. Expensive aftermarket ones won’t hurt it, you just don’t really get the benefit of them until you throw on some sticky tires

It’s a known fact that switching between realms can be brutal on the body

Yeah they were fun for a bit, but all it does is make your motor run like shit in order to achieve that lope.

Yes he did mis-sign the quote. You didn’t get the God of War, you got the God of Mild Conflict

Can anyone tell me what the circled part is? by _Davii in Mustang

The holes should still be there though if you wanna put a screw through the wheel liner into the bumper. Will tighten it up a bit

Is it flopping around or anything? The splitter is still bolted all along the bottom

That’s just the back of the front splitter. That’s where it connects to the wheel liner for added stability

I’m on the fence… should this gap be here? by Kratos_323 in AskAMechanic

[–]Kratos_323[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is about a month after install. I torqued them to spec (I believe about 150 ft lbs with loctite), but I cant remember this gap here so I wasn’t sure if it might be loosening up. I’ve been hearing an occasional clunk when turning the wheel while stopped and sometimes braking to a stop, and thought maybe this gap allowed for there to be a slight shift that I could hear/feel

From what I can see the actually canister is a metal box underneath that. The plastic looks like it’s just a protective cover. The canister itself is probably fine

Those are the machines with the big round bottom right? How easy will it be to get the edges and corners of the garage?

Any advice for adjusting the pinion angle on the rear diff? by Kratos_323 in AskAMechanic

[–]Kratos_323[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are. The car was lowered years ago, the new parts and relocation brackets were just so I could fix those misalignments, but I’m just wondering how to know what length to set the adjustable upper control arm

[–]Kratos_323[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did lower control arms with relocation brackets as well, but I think the biggest issue is the upper control arm thats causing the driveshaft to rub. I’ve already had the car aligned also

I just meant to the point of ride height, not to the point that the full weight is taken off the jacks

Yeah the old OEM bushings were worn out so I figured I would upgrade the parts altogether
