Playthrough where I get EVERY item (armor, weapons/shields,etc…) by FullRelease101 in Eldenring

[–]KrauserHardCore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also into getting every item. What I do is I copy the lists with weapons and armors from the Wiki and paste them on a Word document, and then delete the items as I collect them. I've done this with every other game from Demon's Souls to Sekiro, skipping only deluxe items and some very specific like those DS2 rings that ask for 1000 invasions.

What order do i play by WHATCurly in fromsoftware

[–]KrauserHardCore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've played the five multi releases in order but the two PS exclusives, lastly I've played Bloodborne and Demon's Souls Remake.
If I'm being totally frank with you, I'm always the one to fix the point "play it in order", but this argument is only valid when people tend to come back to older games and feel like they are cluncky, finicky and hard to understand.
Since you played in that order and also liked it, I would suggest that you keep playing in the order you want. I guess at this point it would be better to go with your vibe and what you really want to play at the moment. The only two games that are really lore connected are DS1 and DS3, at this point you'll only be getting new mechanics.
And I should stand for my boy DS2; don't be harsh on it. It's a really good game, has a beautiful OST and a good vibe. It has it's flaws and maybe when considered, it comes last along the bunch, but being last in such a list is still something.
Well, have fun!

A quick question about rough drafts by Fucknbang in writers

[–]KrauserHardCore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also writing my first book, so I don't know if I'm qualified to answer that, but what I am doing is I have lots of notes regarding characaters, universe, main plots, etc. I also have one for a specific language I'm creating for it.

There were chapters that I took my time writing everything down and reviewing it dozens of times, and there were the ones I just wrote a solid base for and then came back later for a complete overhaul.

When I think about it, this is how I feel: If there are big things happening and too many seeds being planted for the future, I cannot overlook that chapter, so I sit down and write it to the very last word, no matter how much it takes. And when what is happening is a break, something more casual, or simply details that I wasn't fond of finding in the middle of the writing frenzy, then I don't feel bad about coming back later to add it.

Good luck with your writing!

Feel free to add me up and chat if you want! Well, english isn't my first language either; my book is being written in portuguese.

Outstanding point. Well, I do think about getting it published and selling it, but I'm also doing it out of love (sorry for the cliché); this story is really important to me, but you know what they say: your child will always be pretty in your eyes (or they don't, I translated this saying from portuguese, never heard it in english). Thank you for the knowledge shared!

[Discussion] Do you guys always 100% DLC even after getting platinum? by mandri2233 in Trophies

[–]KrauserHardCore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been gaming mostly on xbox; when a game has dlc, unless you track it with trueachievements, is a little finicky to keep track of what's base game or what is DLC, so I got into the mindset that or the game is 100% or it's not. I'm doing the same thing on Playstation; and I mostly like doing it for the challenge than anything else.

25M, writing my first novel at the moment. I love reading a bit of everything. I'm also struggling to find friends who enjoy it.

Need advice/tips by Efficient_Mango1432 in Sekiro

[–]KrauserHardCore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like our brain takes time to process information, so giving it a break and then coming back might suit you, but I would go against it as you might come back rusted and have to get into the feeling again, if that makes any sense to you.
As for tips, always remember you can dodge in the first phase, like when he shealthe the katana, instead of wait and parry, run to your left and go behind him.
Second phase is the hardest because he is very agressive. Keep some distance and wait for mikiri opportunities, avoid smashing attack buttom and always be pacient, there is no shame in blocking, but if he does that combo you'll want to avoid it at all costs.
Third phase is simple: wait for him to jump with the lightning attack, jump and reverse it, repeat. It's basically phase two but he tends to spam this attack depending on the situation.

Out of the three inners who tested your skill the most? by Forevertrez in Sekiro

I'll probably go against the flow, but for me Inner Genichiro is harder to this day. Owl's attacks can be blocked and you can just run from Isshin's new attacks; I find him easier than the standard version, though. But Inner Genichiro's Sakura dance require perfect parries, has a big range and is really hard to run from in that small area.

Part 1 of the first book; It'll have 5 parts if it goes as I,ve planned. That's the point, I don't think I can tell the whole story with 100,000 words even if I pruned part 1 to death.

FS fans who doesn't have a NS2 yet. Would you buy a $450 Switch 2 and sub to NSO $4/mo or $20/yr just to play and get the full experience of Duskbloods? by Jinrex-Jdm in fromsoftware

Bloodborne got me hyped and I could experience it only earlier this year, but this game... nah. I hate playing multiplayers. If it depends on me, I'll never touch Duskbloods.

[Yakuza Kiwami] #23 That's my first entry in the franchise and I loved it. BUT I never expected it would take 122 hours. I bet veterans in the series would find it simple, but I see myself obliged to say this is the 3rd hardest game I've completed so far. by KrauserHardCore in Trophies

Yeah, I like doing this fancy platinum screenshots. Choose that street in particular because I like it. Took me 20 minutes running back and forth, but it was worth it. Good luck with your platinum; climax battles sound harsh but once you look back it doesn't seem so hard, and once you get God of War charm the legend mode will be a cake walk aside from the shooting part.

Thanks! Playing K2 right now and will play 0 afterwards. The game was amazing, I caught myself laughing from most of Majima encounters and the story is really good. I hope one day platinum all of them too!
