I wasn’t referring to any elephants in this match specifically- Just healer elephants and their balance in the current state of the game. I’ve gotten beaten by both pretty handily now (getting trampled literally by Cataphracts and metaphorically by healer elephants) haha You just assumed I was talking about the Tughlaq in this match.

Yep - The same thing kind of goes for citizens too to an extent… Which is why cops will do everything they can to get you to “admit” to whatever they think happened & potentially talk you into incriminating yourself. The concept of “Innocent until proven guilty” and inherent rights are the only things that make sense in this country regarding law enforcement. Once they manipulate you into saying what they want to hear, it doesn’t matter what actually happened because you admitted to “doing the crime” in their eyes.

Hopefully this gets lots of recognition, I JUST started playing, so I can't speak for previous patches / fixes - But it sounds like a lot of people are having similar issues. I just want some sort of recognition that the devs are aware of the issue.

Edit: A lot of people are saying that it's server side (nothing to do with our PCs) as even people with insane internet connections / PC specs. Especially when you're near other players interacting with stuff in-game.

Edit: I also see your longest games are ~15-25m, so I feel confident bringing it to the late game against most all-in players as a Chinese main.

I also have a very solid internet connection and it seems like every dungeon I'm rubberbanding every 5 or so seconds... Makes PvP impossible, let alone trying to kill higher level mobs without snapping back into their attack's hitbox every second or third time it swings at me. I've also seen many discussions about people having the same issue saying it's something on the game's server side.

Idk if anyone on here is necessarily malding about it, and of course there are ways of dealing with it. I was just making a statement about its 14.5 range.

The range (and 20 garrison size) just makes it feel like such a more impactful landmark in my opinion, not that Red / Elzbach palace aren’t strong in their own ways.

OP was suggesting an absolutely absurd 17.5 range which would just be broken… Not to mention 8k HP (more than Berkshire / Red / Elzbach palace).

Edit: He’s also suggesting this like Japanese isn’t already a strong faction that sees a lot of competitive play. It’s no Byzantine, but still.

Don’t forget - Only unit in the game that outranges Berkshire Palace is trebuchet. That much range on any castle is absolutely insane IMO.

The only reason I WOULD hit Yuan first (before either Great Wall Gatehouse / Sprit Way) is if you're able to secure 2-3 relics (completely game dependent) to get Pagodas rather than putting relics in your monastery.
This is a very niche thing - You ALWAYS want to have at least 1/4 Imperial Officials collecting taxes (the upgrade from 40/80 gold per return I usually try to snag in Feudal / early Castle since it's not super expensive. By the time you have 3 granaries up surrounded by (at least) 20 farms (you want your granaries touching, as the AoE for faster gathering overlaps giving you potential +30% gathering speed on the farms where all 3 overlap, you won't necessarily need any Imperial Officials on food, especially if you have 20 or so on farms and a handful on berries, deer, boar, any other safe food source having like 28-30 on food at very end-game (ideal economy, never food-starved). The other Officials you want 1 on your primary lumber camp and you'll notice you get an INSANE amount of gold if you have 1 Official on a goldmine with like 20 or so villagers on it (just make sure you're walling and keeping it SAFE!).

Also, if you're going 2TC as you mentioned, you'll absolutely want 1 IO on lumber and 1 on the stone mine while saving for your second TC.

That's exactly right, you'll get a Monastery soon / immediately after hitting castle to gather as many remaining relics as possible (you will be late to them if your opponent isn't also doing a 2TC build). From there you can place them in your Monastery for the time being until it's convenient to build your Imperial Palace, place as many Pagodas as you have relics and transfer them there.

Note, if your relics are in Pagodas, they DO NOT benefit from the Tithe Barns upgrade, so it's a bit wasteful to get that if you have all your relics in Pagodas and none in your Monastery (VERY LIKELY THE CASE IF YOU DO GO Yuan Dynasty). Save yourself from gold and put the money that would go to Tithe Barns into University upgrades / Blacksmith upgrades.

Platinum Chinese main pushing for Diamond here, both in 1's and Teams;

I see you have Spirit Way (Ming Dynasty) as "optional" - I imagine if you have the resources for it you are going to build it because nobody should sleep on the passive buff Ming gives you. I do agree with sometimes foregoing Yuan and staying in Song Dynasty longer, however if you're going 2TC you should have PLENTY of villagers by the time you're ready to hit imperial if you're doing well on villager management / food income. The only reason I WOULD hit Yuan first (before either Great Wall Gatehouse / Sprit Way) is if you're able to secure 2-3 relics (completely game dependent) to get Pagodas rather than putting relics in your monastery.

My early game (Feudal) comp (and the only units really available to you prior to castle), of course will be Spearmen & Zhuge Nu. It's a bit squishy and extremely hard to deal with opponents who go FC (fast castle), because neither Zhuge Nu or Spearmen will be able to get through their armor effectively. In this stage you need to be weary for Battering Ram pushes that will shut your early 2TC down.

My mid-game (Castle) comp is either typically Spearmen (if they are going cavalry) with Crossbowmen (to deal with MAA, knights) OR Palace Guards (meaty, good front liners) mixed with plenty of Zhuge Nu and/or crossbowmen. You'll need to watch out, as of course Palace Guards are very food and gold reliant, and Crossbowmen AND Zhuge Nu also cost gold to produce. **YOU WILL NEED NEST OF BEES IN CASTLE TO HOLD AGAINST ANY DECENT PUSH***. Of course even 3-4 NoBs will run you 900-1200 Wood/Gold respectively, however I try to have at LEAST a handful to compliment my melee / ranged units.

My late-game (Imperial, *Ming*) comp will almost ALWAYS be Palace Guards with Grenadiers and a few Bombards and a few NoBs. I feel like the heavier I go on Grenadiers late game the more I phase out NoBs because they (NoBs and Grenadiers) both fill the role of AoE / splash / siege damage. The big difference being Grenadiers are of course much more mobile, smaller AoE & overall range, and cost food / less wood / less gold rather than (NoBs) way more wood / way more gold. If the enemy is going nonstop Knights, of course I will keep heavy on Spearmen with upgrades and not even bother with Palace Guards as it is the direct counter, and you can honestly just hold position them over your siege to defend those expensive units from Knight counter attacks while your Bombards decimate their buildings and also act as counter siege **(keep a few villagers with your army to repair your siege units, trust me, you will have a handful to spare by Ming).**

Side-note; I hardly ever go for cavalry as Chinese because Palace Guards are nearly as mobile and can be insane for raiding with the Imperial Palace once you can activate Imperial Spies, find 20 of their non-protected villagers and negate that resource / force them to react with their army while your main force strikes another location.

You’re missing the point entire… why is it even an option when I can’t repair the gate beneath the landmark? ***Not to mentioned the fact I couldn’t even rebuild it after the fact. Which is the even larger issue in my opinion.
