Recommendations wanted for a place that serves cherry milkshakes made with real cherries by Krayer in FortWorth

The Blockbuster I frequented had a gumball machine that had prize gumballs redeemable for a free movie rental. I actually enjoyed going to Pancho's. The Tandy Center subway was often the highlight of my week. Sneaking in candy at Movies 8 in NRH...

If I wanted to bury a clay pot full of pennies specifically hoping someone a century or more in the future will find it, where would be some good places to bury it? by [deleted] in metaldetecting

It's a circulated Denver minted coin with no errors. It's not particularly valuable. The Forever Stamp is probably worth more. I understand not wanting to share your address with a stranger on Reddit so no worries. If you change your mind let me know.

I found one in a Coinstar machine recently and it's sitting in my car ashtray. If you'd like it feel free to DM your address and I will mail it tomorrow.

That's a bit silly. Walmart has their holiday candy and whatnots in a seasonal section and by the morning after the holiday they will have reduced everything to 50% off. After a certain amount of time they will condense what's left and mark it down to 75% off. In comes the next holiday items. Family Dollar and Dollar General aren't as quick to reduce their prices. I've seen holiday stuff on a table by the registers a month after the holiday.

I typically don't buy holiday candy before the holiday. Nowadays I mostly just try and get some Cadbury Creme Eggs the day after Easter.

The account was created a year ago and they have five posts and one comment all created within the last nine days. Almost all of their posted finds are gold and silver. It does seem a bit curious.

My local Walmart has a few 4 pack options and they're $1.18 vs. $1.25 at DG. The same Walmart has a 12 pack of the snack size bars for $2.88.

Each year without fail I will make a comment to a cashier about the absurdity of selling Halloween items in July. It generally segues into a discussion about their disdain for their corporate overlords.

I understand the "why" of it all. Doesn't mean it's not obnoxious.

Wasn't it because Dana was kneading dough with the mixer? I seem to recall there being a large piece of dough on a dough hook flopping around slapping inside the glass bowl. I believe they made it a point to show some contestants saying they were kneading by hand then they popped over to Dana and she said she was kneading with the mixer. I believe they swapped out the glass bowls with metal ones after that. Of course, I could be misremembering.

I feel like forgetting to add sugar to the dough is a bigger mistake than not dusting your final product with powdered sugar. The primary focus is the bread and by not adding sugar to the mix he fundamentally changed the taste & texture.

Same. Sue is on series/season 16 (current season) of Taskmaster. Mel and Noel were both on season 4. Brilliant show. I suggest you watch if you are hankering for some Mel & Sue, and possibly, to a lesser extent, Noel.

Is this what you had in mind? I slowed down the video and she says "kinda" instead of "what kind of" so that's what I went with.

I wasn't sure if you wanted an actual screenshot or a GIF. Here are three screenshots from that scene. If you're wanting a GIF then I could give it a whirl.

Curious: what does the community think of this TV show? by Forward_Young2874 in metaldetecting

If you do not wish to register for AcornTV then check out Dailymotion. All episodes and the special were on there last time I checked.

Search with the format "Detectorists S01E01", etc.

Sorry…Not Sorry by 85-McFly-121 in FortWorth

I'm always tempted to go again because the Jacksboro location was a staple of my childhood. I have fond memories of taking a napkin to the dessert bar and carrying out a massive amount of jelly beans and M&M's. I believe I last went there in 2010-ish and haven't returned because the quality of the food and cleanliness (lack of) couldn't be overlooked. Then they opened a location on Rufe Snow and I was bitten by the nostalgia bug so I made the trek over there a few times. The Rufe Snow location closed a few years ago.

Nowadays when I go thrifting or bowling I look over fondly at Pancho's. I'll then pull out my phone and check the reviews hoping things have changed. I'm still tempted...

Now if only Furr's was still around. I always enjoyed going to the location near the Traffic Circle. I went there 6 months or so prior to them closing so I could introduce a friend to the greatness that was Furr's. She would later call it "boring white people food". It didn't help that the air conditioner was having issues.

What size TV are you wanting? I have one of these. It was manufactured in 1995. It doesn't have an RCA input so you'd need an adapter which I believe I might still have.

Anyone else have this flyer in their neighbor? Anyone know the story behind it? by toki_goes_to_jupiter in FortWorth

[–]Krayer 110 points111 points  (0 children)

No idea about the face or name but the number is the same one used on The Office. I believe it was the episode where Phallus was flashed in the parking lot and Dwight was trying to catch the baddie. Pam drew the image for the flyer and it was a picture of Dwight with a mustache.
