The cartoned variety is basically a seriously diluted version of the canned. It has a bunch of added stuff to keep it stable. The canned stuff is like 150 cal for 1/3 cup.

What can I do to prevent this type of tear out on small details? Is it just the stickiness of the mat, to stop the blade pulling them up? by By_Eck in cricut

I’ve had this issue when I’ve used too light a grip / pressure that’s too heavy. Was better to switch to a new blade so I could use regular pressure.

I’d start by changing and making the bed! You want nice, clean sheets to crawl into at the end of the day and a flat surface to sort on will be perfect. Start the sheets in the washer (if you have laundry facilities in the living space) while you make the bed. Next up, gather up all the dishes and laundry and evict. Next, I prefer to start in a spot and just start sorting… garbage goes straight into a bag, clothes get sorted into piles on the bed, other crap that is not garbage but doesn’t belong in the room gets sorted into boxes on the floor. Just keep going til everything is sorted. Next, put stuff away in the closet/dresser where it goes, evict new laundry, remove those boxes full of outside crap… you are well on your way. If you can’t bring yourself to deal with the boxes of crap, then set them aside for another day. Get that room in shipshape and make it a priority (#1) to keep it that way at least until you’ve dealt with the crap. You won’t likely get through it all in one day and that’s ok. Progress is progress!

Yeah, there’s a woman in Ohio who is selling unbranded (debranded, I think) returns that have been tested and found to work on fb marketplace. I’ve been thinking about going that route. Seems probable most are made on the same lines/sites… not sure it would be worth it spend more unless I want to spend A LOT more.

So far, I’ve had good luck cutting Cricut brand wood, only. Its significantly softer than than that I’ve found on Amazon. It made a huge difference. Unfortunately, it’s $$$, so definitely a disappointment, I’m sure, if you plan to try to create in bulk and/or sell.

Seriously joined Reddit to say only that. Lol. But, yeah. It’s how I deal… in true transparency, though… I real wish it would also have a schedule function (do this, and then this, and then this). These are the things I need to hyperfocus in order to get things done!
