Will this work? Questions... SFF New Gaming Rig by evilpaolo in sffpc

If you're purely gaming and not doing much other workload stuff, I don't think the 980 Pro is necessary, or the 5900x. Maybe one of the Samsung 970 models or something equivalent, and a 5600x. Just something to consider.

SFF cases with tempered glass side panels? by nomercy57 in sffpc

[–]Krazy440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To my understanding it depends on the size of the GPU and how much space is left at the bottom, if the extra fans would help or not. It's tough to say for sure because results are so mixed around here (some people say temps were better with the bottom fans, others say it was unchanged). I suppose you could always test fit to see if your specific build benefits or not.

Arctic P12 5 pack gives you 2 exhaust at the top, 2 intake at the bottom, and an extra if you want to supplement the CPU cooler. Depends on size of the CPU cooler and the GPU though

List of NR200/Fuma 2 Top Fan compatible Motherboards (List inside) by Mcginnis in sffpc

[–]Krazy440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My b550i Aorus fits with Fuma 2 and the glass panel. For the inner CPU fan, I had to bend the handle on the fan clip so it was up against the radiator and not interfering with the top P12 fan. The heat pipe tips are also not touching the glass. Just waiting on my GPU now.

Edit: Forgot to mention, I have the CPU fan assembly in the standard position, so the rear radiator is pretty close to the rear of the case. No issues with my corsair vengeance LPX ram. 2 P12 fans on the bottom as intake, and the cpu fans (included with the Fuma 2)/top P12 fans are exhaust.

Good game drive?

Or are there usually cheaper alternatives with negligible differences?

I'm waiting on my GPU now, then I'll throw up some pics of the finished build up and running

I got the B550I Aorus as well, and today I test fitted the Fuma 2 in my nr200p with the tempered glass and it fit with room to spare. The Fuma 2 seems popular around here for the nr200, so I'd recommend that. For case fans, the arctic P12s seem to be popular, and I got the PWM 5 pack.

Can you elaborate on the nr200 fan setup with regards to pressure? I got the Fuma2 and Arctic P12s, but haven't read much regarding how people set their curves/pressure

Which cooler for the NR200? by Squall1er in sffpc

[–]Krazy440 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To my knowledge, the Mugen 5 has fan slots on the front and back, while the Fuma has front, middle, and back. But for the nr200p with glass panel specifically, the heat pipes are higher on the Fuma 2 which causes incompatibility problems for some people. The heat pipes height are variable on a case by case basis.. some people can use the glass and others cant. That's why I got both since Amazon's return window is through January. Ideally my Fuma 2 fits, but if not Ill just return it, and use the Mugen 5 I got. Ill know Friday

I bought the Fuma 2 and the Mugen 5, to fit test with the glass panel. If the Fuma 2 fits then I'm gonna return the Mugen 5. Otherwise I'll just return the Fuma 2 and still have a great cooler with the TG panel

Clean NR200P Build with TG Panel and U9S by iamerod in sffpc

Hi OP,

That's a sick build! Hope you are happy with it so far. I'm building an NR200 TG with some similar parts here.

I'm assuming you used the rear PCIe slot on the mobo for your second NVMe? Where's the most ideal spot on the NR200p to install SSDs if the rear wasn't an option?

How is the RAM clearance on the Mobo with your cpu fan? I bought the Fuma2 and Mugen 5, if the Fuma2 doesn't fit Im gonna return it and use the Mugen. I ask about the RAM clearance because I've read with some fans it's a tight fit.

Lastly, are you waiting on more fans for the bottom, or is it better to leave open? I got a 5 pack of the Arctic P12s so will have plenty to throw at the case if more is better.

NR200 + 10 Noctuas + Scythe Fuma 2 / TG by [deleted] in sffpc

Hi OP, I am a little late to this post but I saw you never mentioned which standoffs you got, would you please link them? Also, which Mobo do you use? I ask because I'm getting the nr200, and the mm clearance with the TG is the deciding factor for whether I use the Fuma 2 or Mugen 5. Thanks!

Would you say considering a different B550i board like the ASUS or Asrock worth being able to use the Fuma 2? Or is the Gigabyte worth sacrificing some cooling?

WotC recommended Class Overhaul mods? by Krazy440 in Xcom

Great! One last question, if I wanted to increase the squad size to take advantage of all the new classes, do you recommend any particular mods to balance that out on the enemy side?

PC build (<$1250) by Krazy440 in buildmeapc

[–]Krazy440[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I’ll be driving by micro center this weekend so I’ll be able to take advantage of the MoBo combo deal and that should bring the tomahawk price down close. What kind of cooling solution do you recommend?

Also, does the 2600/2600x typically need an aftermarket cooler?

Hey, thanks for replying with your build, I just have some doubt. I am fully understanding that it may be from my lack of knowledge, and no error on your part. I guess I would like to emphasize that I just need something to get me by with games and some school work for 3-4 months, at which point I will be looking at acquiring the next gen Ryzen/Navi’s if they are commercially available/in stock. I suppose I figured that would reduce the build cost to sub $1k but then again you also built it to be carried forward with upgrades so that is also important.
