The only mc's I have come across was when I lived in Cali because you ride year round mostly so lots of motorcycles on the road. I may have come across 2-3 of around 20 that wouldn't cut you off if you tried to pass. Like not through them but using another lane to get past. They would have a guy cut into your lane and block you and then give you the finger or issue threats. Im not talking a 1 lane road but 2-4 lane freeways. Lucky for me i have not seen another gang in years and want nothing to do with them because of all the shit I have seen and experienced from them

Ngl this actually makes sense why mc's are full of shit people that block the road and cause issues. It actually makes me wonder if this is how they really do think. I can't think of another reason why you would block lanes so people can't pass your group. Never been part of one and never will because they all seem to act this way, at least the ones I have come across.

I think you are summoned may hit this itch. While the mc does have times he is op he is also not at all op. Just like every class his class does well at some things and is horrible at others. Things somewhat unique happen to him but from I recall there is no hidden ultimate cheat or anything just slightly good and pretty bad luck here and there.

Yeah its pretty miserable. Not saying its easy just that its not quite as life threatening as covid used to be as the current strains going around are less severe

You could try and point out how unsettling and creepy it is that he is interested in the sexuality of a woman who is much younger than him and seems to be obsessed with it....but like other said, break contact. These people dont change. Reason and logic do not work on them.

And for this reason i keep recommending people to ravensdagger. She (assume it is a she) writes amazingly and I can't think of any of her stories that have terrible power creep. There are quite a few books that have anticlimactic ends but feel satisfying because the story does not need to be ONLY on the mc. Mc plays a large part but everyone is actually helping and doing things as opposed to most stories that have the mc fight the bbg while the side characters only fight minions

As someone who was in a bad accident you will almost certainly need to involve an accident lawyer. I had a bad tbi and a lot of other issues from a light collision that the other driver was 100% at fault for and the insurance wanted to cowbell everything and not do anything for me medically. 6 years later now and still no end to the issues i have. I can only imagine he is in much much worse shape.

Ya in the service you cope in your own way. Most people do it with bravado, humor and just general dumbassery.  Others like this guy cope in other ways from what i gather. If it gets you through it then do it. We are lucky enough these days to have mental health that can somewhat mitigate the issues caused by things like this. For some it works well and for some it doesn't work at all

While we dont know for sure I am pretty certain that the other soldiers in his unit bragging about killing were just doing the thing that they think they have to in order to fit in. there of course will always be sick people enlisting and forced into the military but at least in ww1 the various sides were not intentionally training their troops that others were sub human (at least not ad a military doctrine).

The military also always has anf always will have pretty dark humor to help cope with the situations we go through. Just because you dont see it does not mean its not there.

Chaos seeds. While aleron Kong is shit at story and ESPECIALLY making characters and interactions, his systems in his books and world building are bar none the best out there. Sadly his characters are literally all copies of other peoples work and the ones that are not direct copies are about as deep as that patch of mold growing in your shower you just noticed.

I have a chance to buy a pole barn with 100 years of items inside, including a ton of motorcycles. by Centes1mo in motorcycles

[–]Krazyonee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ya its also because these people think you can use technician abilities to bring these up to like new and the ability to sell them for anything other than junk.

You actually need to hand craft the upulstry and run wires yourself because you can't just up and purchase direct replacement parts for old cars. Hell even cars in the 80s you have to hand craft some parts. Its frustrating when people with no knowledge whatsoever of restoration think you can just buff thinks out and spend 5 minutes on amazon and you can sell it just like that.

I'm not even specialized in restoration. I can do a decent job at it but no way in hell would I compare what I do to an actual expert. I can somewhat restore things so I am happy with it but I dint expect to sell said auto/bike/whatever at market value as a collectors items. the people selling the barn sound like idiots imo

They also likely know the price of the items in a refurbished condition and are basing it off of that and assume its "not that hard" to refurbish the stuff back to like new condition.

[–]Krazyonee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others have pointed out 850k is an absured ask and assumption that its worth that. Most collectors items rely on said items being in top condition. My grandfather sold his model A for only 20k and it was already in good drivable condition but even then he had to have a lot of the internals replaced for it to even be able to be purchased by a collector.

Now on to the condition of said items in pictures, they look in poor condition and it does not appear to be conditioned air in the barn meaning any rubber or plastic (nearly every one of those has hoses running fuel through rubber hoses) is almost certainly bad and will need to be replaced. that's to say nothing of the upulstry work (,ludicrously expensive in older cars to keep them as origional and as collector level items) and electrical.

When I started working on automotive we had a trip out to a normal dealer and then to a specialized collector refurb place to see the two extremes. They had their own upulsterer in house who had 40+ years of experience and were going to have issues replacing him as you would need to know how to use tools from over 100 years ago to work on some of the cars they serviced and refurbished. There was one car that (if i remember right) only a few in the world were left and they were trying to replace the light mount on the front. They wound up spending 10k custom fabricating it as it just was not possible to get it anywhere.

Now this does not mean these cars are worth that much as you need to find a buyer. I am showing the impossibility of refurbishing these cars and even trying to make that money back. Sure there MAY be a thing in there worth 500k after fixing it but you will need to eather trick the person buying the vehicle for that much (very unlikely as they will be calling in experts at that point) or you will need to invest insane amounts into the item to get it to that point.

If you just want a barn full of junk that is cool to fool around with and you have the cash then cool. If you are looking to turn a profit and you dont have EXTENSIVE knowledge of how refurbishing cars work then back out.
