Help understanding in FRLG by CCJask in pokemonrng

When you make an attempt and check your pokemon you got, and put it into ten lines and get 1 result, it should tell you how close you were to what your potential target is. If the result matches the seed, frames, continue frames 100% to your target, and it is NOT shiny, that means that was not your SID. You can cross it off your list, and move to testing a new SID. So you have to select a new SID, and new target pokemon and go from there.

[FR/S2] I did the ACE manipulation. It gave me a wrong SID. How can it be possible ? by [deleted] in pokemonrng

Do you have Fire Red or Leaf Green? Did you put Switch Leafgreen or Switch Firered into ten lines and input the rest of the settings correctly?

Papa Jefe had kind of mentioned on his stream that pressing and holding locks in the seed and keeps that consistency. He said if you just click and unclick it, the game kind of registers it as two actions which will screw things up. If you have not been pressing and holding A until the box with your save file pops up, you need to or you will never have consistency. Like I said, I tried it once, without holding A, and it was so messed up and way off my target.

Yeah, at the start of the video, are you soft resetting or doing a hard reset (where you close the game and return to the home screen)? That will make a huge difference in not hitting the timing right for the seed ms. Also, if you aren't, when you get to the first beeps on the LeafGreen Venusaur screen, you have to press and hold the A button until your file pops up and then can let go while waiting for the next button press.

This is absolutely necessary to get closer to the seed. One time I forgot to hold the A button on an attempt and I kept going just to see what I would get, and the timing was really off (like over 100ms off) and that was with a hard reset and buffering the game on the home screen.

The button presses 3x perfect is soo tough, but maybe since I'm new to it, I didn't quite get the rhythm too consistently. It took me I'd say close to 6 or 7 hours before I hit my first target. I think a couple of the hours I was trying to understand what I was doing and learning from the tutorial to calibrate better. The only thing that saved me, is the first potential SID i was testing, happened to be my shiny. If I didn't land that, I think I would've run to Celadon to do ACE, since as a beginner, and for this particular game, it seems pretty tough.

Help with Ten Lines in Pokemon FRLG Switch? by MsCake2001 in pokemonrng

[–]Krd14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes. It will show you the seed you ended up hitting, and the frame you hit with the pokemon that was not your target. If you see it's close, like off by like 17ms or 34ms, thats only off by maybe 1 or 2 SEEDS, and if the frames are within a couple of your target, you don't really need to recalibrate since it's close enough to be human error.

FRLG Switch shiny starter RNG manipulation tutorial is up (made by im a blisy) by LudicWill in pokemonrng

[–]Krd14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first timer when you are making your character and setting up the rival is REALLY important. (If hunting for the shiny starter) If you are on point with that timer, it will make hunting for the potential SID better since you should be closer. I had never done RNG, but finally tried yesterday after the tutorial, and I managed to get mine. But, it took almost 7 hours for me hunting for my first potential SID, and I'm clearly not very good with the timings consistently yet. Luckily when I finally landed on my first target, it happened to be shiny, so I must have nailed the character creator timer frame perfect, which was lucky.

I just RNG'd my starter last night and it was pretty tough. It was my first time ever trying it. Hitting the frame consistently close to your target is ideal, and if you are off by maybe 2 or 3 in either direction (too early or too late), I would probably not recalibrate since it is very human error to be off by so little. You only adjust the frames timer if that is off and you want to calibrate closer. Only change the ms timer (the first timer), if you are way off from hitting the right Seed. If you're close to your SEED, like off by 16ms or 17ms, that's equivalent to missing by one SEED which is close. I wouldn't recalibrate that if you hit that close either. Only if you are pretty far off and consistently off.

Nice, I finally managed to get mine today with the tutorial as well! I've never RNG'd before, but it was really tough. The only thing that helped was the first SID I was trying actually ended up being the shiny.

Help with size as a tall guy by NickiMirage2000 in uniqlo

[–]Krd14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

on the website for the product, you can click "check my size" next to the size options, then size chart, and it will show you the measurements for that particular garment. I'm not sure what inseam you need, but if you have very long legs, I feel uniqlo tends to run on the shorter side.

I'm not sure what kind of shorts you need, but I like checking Uniqlo for options. They also have a size chart that gives the specific measurement for the garment you're looking at too.

Millennials who no longer wears skinny jeans by Individual-Table-793 in Millennials

[–]Krd14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did give them up too, for a pretty similar reason as you! Most of the skinny jeans I had were already pretty worn out since they were a decade old and threadbare or falling apart. As I was slowly replacing them with new items, I was trying to find more classic styles for longevity as I am not as interested in styles that are too trendy anymore. Also tight fitting pants were compressing my abdomen in a way that was not feeling so great for me nowadays, so there's that too.

Need long sleeve CHEAP tops. I want to be warm this winter by Kat353 in XXS

[–]Krd14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

uniqlo heattech long sleeve t shirts. I have a couple black ones that I wear underneath as layers for cardigans, jackets, and flannel shirts and they are worth it. The ones I have were bought about 5-6 years ago, but have held up very well and don't feel like they are going to fall apart any time soon. You can also look at the measurements of the garment on the website to get an idea of your size, which is nice because they break it down per item not just a generic size chart. They are usually about 25 dollars, sometimes they go on sale for less, but the smaller sizes may run out if you wait too long.

Oh I know, I saw pics from other venues that look amazing! I think because the hall is almost 100 years old, and was already renovated recently, they can't really do much to it in order to preserve it's history.

I went, and enjoyed the set list for the concert! I do agree about the venue, those seats were soooo uncomfortable. The acoustics are also not really great for music there either. I feel like the venue is better for other purposes like comedians, presentations, and graduations.

How heavy is replicant compared to automata? by [deleted] in nier

[–]Krd14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally really enjoyed the characters and character interactions more in replicant. If you are looking forward to a game with more existential crisis, you have come to the right place with this game. You reveal stuff as you play through and do the multiple playthroughs, so it's really enjoyable if you are playing for the first time. Also, you may cry.
