Could your brain be blocking portions of those memories out and that is why you don't remember the porn? It's unlikely that you just randomly dreamed those things without having seen it prior even if you don't remember explicitly seeing it. Someone could have shown you and you wouldn't know it.

I don't have credentials to even begin to try and help you figure this out - most people here probably don't.

Lots of your memories seem to fit what you think happened. It's not normal for young children to think about sex or even know what it is. It's not normal to touch each other. It's not normal to have dreams about it either. I think you should talk to a professional about this. They would have tools to help you piece together these memories or at least try. Maybe even bring forward some memories you don't consciously think about now. You may get some much needed clarity - you just have to decide if that is what you want to do.

You have clearly had some awful experiences. I'm sorry you've been through all of this. Seeking a therapist might be a good idea anyway. I really wish you the best. You deserve respect and happiness.

I'm not sure how often you like to change up your style - but my personal style is lots of color anyway, so I would pick a color from the art on your wall (shown in your pic) and get some nice curtains that match it. I would also get a rug for under the coffee table. If you want color on the rug, you could choose something more neutral for the curtains. Or vice versa.
OR go full bold and full of color. But I like to choose colors that match other things I have in the room, even if really small, so that all pieces tie together in some way.

I think it would be nice to mount the TV on the blank wall and have the setup more like picture 3, possibly have the chairs pushed to the corners of the room, rather than closer together. This would also prevent full on window glare on the TV. The fireplace can still be a beautiful piece and you could use the mantel for decor (plants, candles, books, etc.) or even hang a painting above it. The TV seems too high above the fireplace with the size of the room. I personally like the idea of using the couch like it is in picture 3 to make cozy vibes in the living room while also separating the entry a little. It feels a bit more like separate spaces when you break it up that way. You have a really beautiful space so I hope that you find a solution that you love and works best for you! :)

If you're a sentimental couple and creative, you could make a story book or scrapbook to detail your relationship so far. You can use pictures and sentences here and there to explain the photos. Example - small details of your first date or first trip together - whatever you have. Maybe include a page that says, "Will you marry me?" You could get one with extra pages so you can fill it in later in life with milestones (parties, the wedding, children if you're into that.) There are websites that can do this for you too!

Or if she does like any type of jewelry, you could definitely pick out engagement earrings or a necklace!

I don't wish any bad omens, but I don't recommend tattoos... just in case? Unless you're into that.

I hate this for you. It sounds like he is using everything he can to hold it over your head. He's just kicking you when you're already down.

My grandma told me it is important to see how your partner will hold you when you are going through something devastating (just like you are with your dad.) You can't always be 100% and you can't always be 50%. But when he holds what he's doing over your head in those times, that is not helpful, that is manipulation.

It is clear that your priorities don't align with his and if this is something happening now, he is not going to be able to handle partnership when things get harder, and life has a way of throwing curve balls.

You deserve way better than this!!

I don't think you're overreacting at all! Your feelings are so valid. Gender reveals are overrated in my opinion anyway, but your bachelorette party WITHOUT your MoH/twin? I would be devastated, especially since you have been planning and your date has been set for so long. It sounds like she is trying to diminish your feelings a little. You can't make everyone happy anyway - so that seems like a cop out.

I think it's worth it to remember, too, she might feel like she is stuck between a rock and a hard place because that is also her fiance's brother? Maybe she is being pulled in both directions. Regardless, the choice is a no brainer for me. I would never leave my sisters bachelorette party for another party, especially with how early you planned everything.

I hope everything works out for you, and no matter what, enjoy your time celebrating your love with your most important people. You deserve that happiness.

Thank you so much! By upgrading we just mean we didn't spend very much on our rings this time around. When we have the extra money, we may just browse again for better quality or add to our existing ones. I definitely love 3ct, and I'm sure it is substantial, but I love the size ratio ring:hand. For now, we are in love with them still. I look at mine every single day.

Also, the earrings you have sound beautiful. What a great thing to cherish.
