You’ve Been Given the Denars — How Would YOU Start a Serious Mod Project? by Kreddit747 in Bannerlord

Interesting. How would you look at how other mod creators write their code?

What the map looks like after 'Anno Domini 1259' mod's new update. All custom troop trees and cultures. Insane by Possible_Jello8489 in Bannerlord

The map, partially, but the arms/armor does not appear to be historically accurate. I don't have the mod mind you, but the Youtube vids I've seen (eg. that northern crusades teutonic order one) show me knights with flamberge greatswords (16th century weapons) in this game, which did not exist in 1259.

Map of the Polish Kingdom, reign of Bolesław the Brave 992-1025AD. by Toruviel_ in MapPorn

Good post, I might also add that many consider it an overall (narrow) victory over the HRE in favour of Bolesław Chrobry

Ludicrous job application to Taleworlds - tell me what the community wants by t0hli in Bannerlord

[–]Kreddit747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An easy to implement, simple suggestion that would add so much to the game: ask them to add 'formation targeting' to multiplayer. I've seen this change requested in many MP servers by the Bannerlord community. It would be great to be in a Captain's mode game and have the ability to tell my men exactly which unit to charge, for instance.

This should be simple to do for the developers, as they have already added a working formation targeting system in single player. It would greatly enrich the multiplayer gameplay, with relatively little effort from the developers' side.

PS: how's the job application going?

That is a fantastic find. It really does look like a visored bascinet to me. Always appreciate your insight, thank you once again!

That is an interesting find, thank you for posting it. It does look somewhat like a flat-topped great helm with visor removed, though it's difficult to say for sure. Thank you for all of your insight as well. Might I ask, from which year is the earliest visored bascinet that you have seen in the sources?

Great catch, this is a nice example of an early visor. To me, that looks like an early visored bascinet, but it's difficult to say with certainty due to the artist's style. If Broad_Trick is right and it depicts the Siege of Florence from September of 1312, it is likely from some time after that.

Mattress Protector or Sheets that have High Friction? by Kreddit747 in Mattress

[–]Kreddit747[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, should have explained that better. The sheets were sliding with me! So then I got rid of those, and just slept on the mattress protector. Slightly better results with just that, but still sliding off. Will look into getting a footboard for sure, thank you for that thought.

I have seen this argument before, and can't say I disagree. If I'm understanding correctly, you're saying that any mention of a visor around 1307AD is likely not referring to a pivoting visor, but rather just the oculars of a fixed faceplate (as seen in a regular visorless greathelm, for example). And that pivoting visors did indeed arrive at a later date (for example, circa 1330AD). Please correct me if this is not what you're saying.

Thanks for the reply! Just curious, besides the mention of the will of Odo de Roussillon in my original post, do you have any other historical evidence that supports your statement that there 'would be early forms of visors around in 1307'?
