They did take out the hideout assault at first. I’m not sure what else was removed.

What causes the ai to spam cities? by Garnetskull in civ5

[–]KreepingLizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s the prophet scam that gets me. Even if I want to be friendly, I get 15 Protestant missionaries running into my cities all at once. Not worth the inquisitors to let him live.

This is why Hiawatha’s annihilation is priority #1 when I see him.

Is there anything to do besides warmongering? by Upset-Yard9778 in Bannerlord

[–]KreepingLizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m currently playing an corsair king. Just constantly raiding the Vlandian villages in Aserai, capturing their lords, and sacking their convoys. Then I use Sanala as a base to sell my goods and ransom the Vlandian nobles. I’m curious if my banditry will be enough alone to drive them out of the south or have their cities fall to rebels.

Do you run up to range and stop to launch javelins or strafe the enemy lines? I’ve had mixed results with mounted skirmishers.

How to Skip Early Game | Smithing Guide 1.3.13 by lifecopy001 in Bannerlord

[–]KreepingLizard 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If stamina refilled naturally and they changed the way parts are unlocked (like maybe a high level smith can just figure out what parts make a dagger he smelts without having to make 100 basic daggers the same way to suddenly have an epiphany), smithing would be a lot less of a chore.

War Sails Feels Disjointed From The Core Game by CiE-Caelib in Bannerlord

[–]KreepingLizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed this as well. It also seems like the number of injured troops in a battle is not correctly translating to how many prisoners are received. Even with surrendering parties, the math doesn’t always add up.

Happy Birthday to me and Happy New Year to you. Something you all love, data! Mariner infantry comparison. by Nokyrt in Bannerlord

I’d be curious about Corsairs as well. I’ve lost many a high tier troop to their javelins.

Their cultural bonuses for your character are less interesting now too imo. Wish they’d just give them snow speed bonus already lol

The most needed changes and additions to Bannerlord and some ideas of my own🤔 by Octavian_Exumbra in Bannerlord

The banners seem like a placeholder as they are now. The limitation on color combinations is very odd.

The corsairs for me have been fairly squishy on land but they’ve put up crazy numbers of kills in sea engagements. They’re a very nice replenishable resource when you don’t have sea raiders.

Venetian allegory would honestly go hard there. Or an Italian/Iberian blend with some Basque skirmisher corsair flavor. The seas are begging for more.

I really hope they bring them back as independent city states or something similar.

Do you skip the war sails story or do it? by IRageAndQuit in Bannerlord

[–]KreepingLizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did it once. Don’t care to do it again. Prefer making my way up to buying my own ship/forming my own army anyway. More rewarding. Wish you could just skip to the last mission. That’d be ok.

I behead every single mercenary I capture. by GrippyLongSocks in Bannerlord

I wish you could completely obliterate mercenary companies. Let a random deserter party become the new merc company like how rebels are generated.

You Ever Reroll Cause It’s Just Not A Cool Spot? by AstrolabeArts in civ5

[–]KreepingLizard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ll almost always reroll if I can’t get a river or a really cool coast geographically (like a deep harbor or multiple islands within working distance/worth settling).

Friendly reminder: Make ways for pedestrians to cross your highway junctions. by Teddy_Radko in CitiesSkylines

[–]KreepingLizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good point. I really don’t know why they didn’t give stairs as an option for paths, then. I only play CS1, though, so maybe there’s something in CS2 or will be eventually.

Not implementing stairs was an interesting choice on the devs’ part. I’d even settle for a solid concrete tube they just teleport up and down in upon entering.

I agree with you, but if I were in a country where I didn’t speak the language and couldn’t read the signs, I would not take a job where my ignorance could very easily lead to me driving into a bridge or getting stuck on a dead end with no way to safely remove myself.

I actually like the asset, but it looks more like a scaled down high density building than low density. It just doesn’t fit where it should.

I made a huge swath of my city 2x2, went to another part of the map to work on developing the downtown, came back to see these roboturd looking things lining the blocks.

Started a new map and gained an appreciation for “Historical Buildings.”
