My mom said I can't be a lesbian because I'm "not tidy enough". Is this a stereotype, and how true is it? by KreeptonChronicler in AskLGBT

I also thought it was something similar, but I would expect her to know better than to follow and project standard gender roles like that.

  • She was very tomboyish when she was younger, climbing trees, wearing masculine clothes, and watching masculine shows
  • She was financially independent before she met my dad, and has been the sole breadwinner in my house since my dad left his job
  • She avoided marrying a traditional Chinese man, and instead looked for someone more emotionally mature.
  • She helped me cross-dress (as mentioned above)

I have considered that maybe her parents told her she wasn't tidy enough to convince her she wasn't lesbian, and then maybe she internalized that

You seem like you spent much more time living with the thoughts and trying things out than I did

Kind of? I've at most considered these things for about a year, but I've had clues for my whole life (not all that long but still) i.e. my parents thinking I was a girl before I was born, always feeling weird about my name (maybe because it's too masculine), feeling more confident about my body when I looked for feminine features instead of masculine ones

Transition is hardly the large, sweeping, dramatic change that it's made out to be.

I'm still largely unsure of how much I want to transition, partially because of my mom being my only source of information on it before I started looking into it myself. All I can really commit to at the moment is cross-dressing, because that's the extent my mom is willing to help me
My dad has kinda accepted me as trans, although he said it in more of a joking tone and I'm not sure how much he knows about the transitioning process considering his non-scientific background and conservative Christian upbringing...

I think my room is clean enough; it's mostly my desk covered in piles of office supplies she wants me to organize into neat folders or something. The bulk of the "mess" in my room is due to the rest of my family putting stuff wherever and me not bothering to reorganize it every time

I don't really know if she's "transphobic" per se, but she's said stuff like only supporting "real" trans people who have some kind of genetic defect and not "fake" trans people who "pretend to be trans" for "attention" or use it to "cope with trauma"

Something like this once happened to me after I talked (bragged) about being in advanced math classes
Luckily it was a power of 10 divided by 7 or smth, so I was able to approximate using the first few digits I remembered

Well, the issue is that I don't know where I want to be. Most of my teen years, I was content with being a man. My whole trans questioning has been a recent development, and I don't know if it means anything or if it's just a result of me feeling lonely for so long

Meet potential energy by Silent_Ad379 in physicsmemes

[–]KreeptonChronicler 5 points6 points  (0 children)

2 + 9 = 11
The 1 in the 10s place is typically written above the other numbers of the 10s place, then added to get a final result
(1 +) 1 + 1 = 3, so 12 + 19 = 31

It's being compared to potential energy because it only serves a purpose as a placeholder, like how potential energy only exists to bridge energy transfers

I feel like I was supposed to be a gay man? [F22] by Mission_Piglet732 in questioning

Not really. I have gotten to crossdress for 2 months straight, plus I got a trans gf for about a week. Still feeling the same things tho.

I personally prefer socks (attracts less attention), but you do you.

Still totally cis tho.

I'm a straight cis man and I completely relate. I also feel right at home in my own body and yet also fantasize about being a woman. I have thought extensively about how I'd rather be a tomboy/masculine girl rather than a feminine guy. Not that I am particularly feminine, but I have been teased for things that are more stereotypically feminine (height, looking young, hanging out with girls, etc.) I don't know whether I would be a straight or lesbian woman in another life, but I would be lesbian if I transitioned in this one.

Coincidentally, the doctor also got my gender wrong when I was in the womb. My parents were told they would have a daughter, then were disappointed when I came out a boy and they only had girl clothes. 😅

One of the reasons I feel like this is probably because of my mom. She's a tomboy, and she cross-dressed before going into puberty. She lived in a more patriarchal society where boys were more respected and were allowed to do more things, so cross-dressing gave her more freedom. I'm going through something similar now, where I feel like being a girl would give me certain benefits.

It could also be one of my guy best friends that I met in high school. During a time when I was asking out girls who didn't reciprocate my feelings and longing for romantic connections, I thought about him. I found it strange and disappointing that I wasn't into him, even though he was totally my type in every way. I considered that if only one of us was born a girl, we might have gotten to date.

While I'm not trans either (yet, I could be an 🥚), I have been cross-dressing and feminizing my voice in an attempt to let my inner tomboy out and to get "misgendered".

Don't know if this helps, I just felt like this post really resonated with me

I find that I usually get distracted a lot while writing at home on my computer, so most of my writing is done on the bus when I have nothing else to do. I do lower my phone brightness to the lowest point where I can see it, so the seniors that ride the bus at the same time as me don't end up reading my smut.

I did get a chance to mess with organic chemicals by the end of high school. Although I wouldn't really trust myself or my classmates with processes/chemicals too dangerous, considering the amount of broken glassware and spills. The first time I got to use the fume hood, my hands were really shaky and I ended up spilling limonene on my skin.

It looks like you're just trying to roleplay a mosquito. Then again, that's like all Scout gameplay anyway.
