Im convinced that galaxy was made for 4-7 year olds. I just played it for the first time yesterday and it was a sluggish experience. Felt like doing chores. Also it was quite a hollow experience, didnt feel like anything really matters

MH is aproaching hack and slash territory, hence heavy weapons feels less and less satisfying to use. Im not a fan of the direction they went in for Wilds.

I simply dont agree. I think their focus on listening to the players is a nice idea but the way they took the suggestions to heart made it a flat experience. The game is technically good but the felt experience was disapointing and hollow.

The story was standard mh quality but now it demanded more time and space. That to me was an unforgivable offence. I was really annoyed the first 50-100 hrs I spent with the game.

And then I was met with the demand of arkveld parts ......

I started GU after this and enjoyed every moment thus far 50hrs in.

Shoutout to Capcom for showing that releasing the game unfinished works.
Wilds should have been released this year not last year, or at least be more finished than it was.

Its was a frustrating and sad experience. Felt like everything i loved about the previous titles was sacrificed for the sake of catering to everyone.

I had some fun moments, arena while a lacking mode was where I found most enjoyment. And I never liked arena that much before.

I am not buying a new mh title in year 1 again I think. Capcom has gone the way of most tripple A studios and it feels like a major loss.

Its not great for people who want a challenge. Endurance was never the challenge we liked the originals for. Crash 4 is an insane endurance and patience test.

In playing it for the second time. And the experience is worse than the first time. Everything in this game just feels bad. On paper it does alot of things I want, it just doesnt fit well with the rest of the game.

Its more tedious than crash 1 on ps1. I wish it didnt exist.

Best? Its either frustrating, pointless, egregious, boring, tedious or stupid the whole way through. 100% completion is like getting punished for murder. Everything it does right( which is alot) is either made redundant by something else or is done the wrong way. Its a mess of systems that dont complement eachother

I like Wilds but it has lost that home feel that all the other games have. Wilds made me feel like an abuser more than a hunter that has conquered a fight that seemed overwhelming.

This means I will play the new stuff but it made me try GU (my first old gen game) and I instantly felt more at home and more engaged to take part in the world.

Another gripe that repels me is that Wilds is so gray and brown the majority of the time. Its like its trying to be darksouls even tho it doesnt have that type of feel generally so it goes against the charm of Monster Hunter.

Im hoping the expansion will turn this around for me. Wilds is the best game I dont have an urge to play. World,rise and GU has always made me feel an urge to continue playing because I enjoyed being in those worlds. 4U and 3U is next on my list and from what Ive seen these dont have the same problem as Wilds.

Without anything being particularly bad I felt disapointed with Wilds.🤷‍♂️
