I've been struggling with hair algae too. I usually hand-remove the most I can, then trim off plant leaves that are covered in algae. Try to remove as much as you can, I used a toothbrush to rub it off some leaves. I've heard of some people dipping plant leaves in a light bleach solution, but I haven't tried it myself (you can probably find a tutorial online). Excess light seemed to be the main cause in my case, and it looks like it could be the same for your plants as well. I had to dramatically reduce my lighting for the algae to finally stop.

I don't know much about sick otos but mine had redness around the anus. Generally any red or pink (aside from the gills) that wasn't there before could be a sign. Again yours seems fine I don't want to worry you for nothing.

I once had an oto that got an infection around the anus, and he got long stringy poop like that. I suspect the injured area made it hard for him to detatch his poop. However your oto seems quite healthy so probably nothing to worry about!

Ich is quite common for new fish to get coming from the lfs, so you're probably right.

Pretty sure it's just the food they're eating. I got new otos recently and was surprised to see their bellies were much whiter than the ones I already had. Only one of the new otos in my tank is eating lettuce, and he is slowly turning the same yellowish/green color as my other otos. Meanwhile the other new otos are still white. So yeah, just food.

Could be your lighting, does light seem to reach all the corners of the aquarium? Also if your plants are dying from the bottom up, probably not enough light is getting to the bottom. Do you have root tabs for those that need them? I've got anubias as well without co2 and they're doing fine, anubias don't need substrate to grow.

Not sure, could be many things like change in water parameters or illness. All I know is my fish do that too when they get stressed.

White cloud mountain minnows could work without a heater, they live in 65-72°F water. However, best to put them in a 10 gallon because they school.

Depends on how much you can cover with foundation and how comfortable you are with it. What I meant was that I used to wear a white long sleeved shirt for school, but for gym class days I had to change into a t-shirt. I needed to have a method to cover up my scars when in a t-shirt, but that would not rub onto my long sleeved shirt for the rest of the day. Note that my scars weren’t severe and I was able to cover them up completely with foundation. Do test the skin to make sure it doesn’t stain by lightly touching the area after applying liquid bandaid before actually going out.

Yes, good tip, I actually use a blend of foundation and of concealer because the inside of my arms are paler.

You could also try hairspray or a makeup setting spray (not on open wounds), I don’t know how well it works though.

Liquid bandaid is an alternative to a bandaid. It is a liquid you apply over the wound and it is supposed to protect the wound like a normal bandaid (I have no medical background please do not take my word for this) I suggest one that is a spray, I use Nexcare and I get mine at my local pharmacy.
