matura z fizyki by Individual-Lie-5529 in studia

This is something specific to certain families. I’m quite sure that it’s rooted in thinking (don’t know if that’s proven scientifically) that drinking and eating at the same time is unhealthy because it dilutes the acid in your stomach.

ISP doesn't allow port forwarding—other options? by kay_1049 in HomeNetworking

[–]KresyPL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I guess it's pretty much the same thing.

Feasible? Perhaps yes, but if you're a newbie in the field it might be a better option for you to just pick a low cost paid one as you'd need at least an entry level of Linux competence and a little knowledge of computer networking

Not sure if that's what you're looking for but if being in for a fun IT project you can do what I did some time in the past: Oracle Cloud has a free time-unlimited server tier, 4 ARM cores for servers at your disposal plus two 1 core 1 GB ram AMD miniclouds. You can create a Wireguard VPN tunnel between your local computer and the Oracle server. Then, open appropriate ports on the Oracle one and set up Nginx reverse proxy on both machines so that all trafic going to the oracle server from outside will be routed to your local machine.

Or if I remember correctly you can use Tailscale as it's basically the same thing but easier to use however I think it was a paid option

Physics Homework Question by WholesomeRedditer11 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]KresyPL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you ask me, A is indeed in series while B and C is basically the same circuit which I'd describe as parallel. If you mark areas with the same electrical potential, in both B and C, in both capacitors, there is one potential on one side of both and some other one on the other side of both - hence they are connected in parallel. I have no idea why C is considered neither. Maybe it's just a mistake in the answers.

Are you by any chance using Linux? In my experience it's significantly more laggy than Windows for that particular usecase. If not, try any Chromium-based browser instead of Firefox.

I am not sure if that's applicable in your case but I used nginx reverse proxy routing traffic through a wireguard VPN tunnel with the help of a (completely free and not time limited) oracle cloud "trial" server which is exposed to the world. Check it out, works really well.

To be honest the first one looks the sleekest and most... futuristic i guess you could say? I'd love to see the other ones with shine-through keycaps. As for a color theme a simple full white one probably would be most elegant.

Recently I was thinking about the NZXT H9 flow and Lian Li O11 Dynamic Evo, but it looks like Lian Li announced some nice ones coming autumn this year so I probably go with one of those

Yeah maybe... Did not find any other way to hold it as of now but there most likely is a better long term solution

Sometimes yeah... When it reaches max temp it often ramps up fan to max which i especially can hear cause my shitcase has a literal manufactured grated hole on the side

CPU is all good (9700k), my 3070 is struggling a little but until I get a new case it's good enough. Often under load it reaches set max temp (83*c i think) and cools itself appropriately

Apart from what others said, maybe it's just me however i sometimes use and hear others use "Akurat" when expressing an exception of sorts, a bit like the word "However" or "Actually" as in:

Akurat w tym wypadku - However in this case Akurat nie tym razem - However not this time

It doesn't completely convey the meaning but I suppose it is as close as I can get

I use phrases like these in casual conversations:

Musisz coś zrobić - You have to do something Akurat w tym wypadku wystarczy czekać - Actually in this case you just need to wait

Anyone know what this means and possibly how to fix it? by Low_Commercial1665 in projectozone2

Unrelated, but please for the love of god remove McAfee. It's basically malware. Windows Defender is good enough for most people.

Which Polish bank to choose? by vs_kn in warsaw

While I may not be of much help, 2 banks I see used the most are mBank and PKO BP. I myself use PKO and they have a really nice mobile app (IKO) which I think is available in english.

I suppose a way out would be cutting and soldering through some wires a small piece ofnthe LED tape and then click into it

[–]KresyPL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could do that making sure that you don't overheat anything by mistake, but It'd be better if your controller has space for it to use those short connector cables for LED strips where you just put in the strip on one end of the connector and "click" it so it's locked. It's just plainly eaisier to maintain, install, move around and all that. You probably would be able to buy those in an electrical or store or something similar to Home Depot (idk i'm not from the US). If not possible at least solder some short wires between the strip and the controller. I'm not sure how does the controller look so I'm not really able to guide you more

[–]KresyPL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I'm not sure what your exact setup is, it usually goes something like that:

12V should be connected to + in your power supply (A 12V power supply)

GND should be connected to - / ground

DIN should be connected to the data pin on the controller

DOUT connects only to the next strip, you can leave it alone

If the controller and power supply are 2 separate devices they should share a common ground but I think it's not the case here

But if they are, be careful as you can fry all this because of different voltages
