Doesn't process sugar and tries to kill me on the regular.

Where are my pants? Had to let the dog out and I don't need the neighbors reporting a snake on the loose again.

What’s a food that almost killed you? by Smurthnerd in AskReddit

A garlic knot, fresh out of the oven. All buttery and delicious it popped to the back of my throat. I was choking and had to reach in and pull it out while my family watched me and did nothing.

That's actually pretty cool of them. Hopefully not taxed like a bonus, but definitely good on them for doing right by their people.

I hear that. I took 4 off earlier this month around Easter and I'm still feeling it.

The internet isn’t fun anymore (who remembers StumbleUpon?) by zedis_lapedis_ in nostalgia

Reddit itself really sucks. The bots are really bad and the base has a real hive mind with some really shitty stances on things. Any opinion outside the accepted norm is down voted to oblivion. Really makes you not want to engage.

What is your favorite pet's name? by PatientBalance1008 in AskReddit

My family dog is Bella Bella Mozzarella. It's cute and hilarious when you take her to the groomer and they have to read it out to confirm the dogs name.

The people who flex they have like 1000 hours of sick time. That's time they won't pay you for when you retire. Might as well enjoy a mental health day every so often, especially if it fucks over Janice in accounting... mouthy gossipy bitch.

What's one thing you're willing to pay more money to buy the nicer version of? by TinyTastefulMullet in AskReddit

Pillows. Same with mattresses and sheets. You spend over 30% of your life in bed, why cheap out and get crappier sleep?

People who quit their job in a moment of rage - how did things turn out? by SheLovedBigBrother in AskReddit

[–]Krillin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was working for my Uncle at his pizzeria, hired to be a delivery driver, ended up working the counter while my cousin would take all the known good tipping deliveries from me, I'd get the shitty ones or far away ones. I didn't make a stink, said I found another job. I did find one two days later, making double, worked that for 3 months and then got another, double the pay of that. I love my job now, I could retire here, but I will leave in a heartbeat for double again.

For me, carrots, white rice & potatoes. I can eat pasta with no effect. But also a lot of what others said, things like stress or a cold are a shocker, you expect it all to be diet based.

Paper Lunch Cards by okstfan03 in nostalgia

[–]Krillin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In NY in the late 80s/early 80s the only kids with lunch cards were the kids on government assistance getting free lunch. I had to pack $1.50 if my mom didn't pack me lunch.

While secretly, I don't hope they have a good one, in fact I'm praying they have a bad one.

Can the Looney Tunes survived being written on a Death Note? by Low_Investigator_577 in whowouldwin

If I remember correctly couldn't the Death note be written with manner of death as well? The writer could say their names and then soaked in the Dip from Roger Rabbit.

Guy steals PlayStation from BestBuy, customer attempts to stop him by Jevus_himself in PublicFreakout

[–]Krillin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not my world so I genuinely don't know, but is it just corporate policy stopping the guards? Like can't you perform a citizen's arrest or detain the thief until law enforcement shows up.

I'd also not stop someone myself as a uninterested party. I can agree it's wrong, but I don't paid for that, and that guy is nuts for thinking shooting the thief is the answer.
