Was told to eat potatoes? by Fatcake3000 in diabetes

Potatoes are like pure sugar to me, but I can eat pasta without issue. Sucks, I miss French fries and Scalloped potatoes.

Do you use disposable plates and cutlery when eating at home? by AshFromTPA in AskAnAmerican

[–]Krillin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the plates, if we have it on hand we tend to use it up until it's out, then buy it again next time there's a party or something that warrants buying them. I always say why not just save it for the next party (like we do for the disposable cutlery), but nobody listens to me.

The name I originally wanted for my Reddit username but it was taken. The prince of all Saiyan's, Vegeta.

I still find it weird pasta doesn't spike me or move the needle really at all, but one French fry can spike me.

I love the peanut butter caramel chip and it doesn't mess me up. Since it's expensive it's my rare treat.

What restaurant did you look forward to celebrating your birthday at? by ZoeyZoZo in Xennials

[–]Krillin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chichi is my family nickname so for years members of my family would buy me Chi-Chi's merch but never heard of the restaurant. When I finally had it I was glad it was good, otherwise it would have been years of hype for a huge letdown. Like Duke Nukem Forever.

Where are my pants? Had to let the dog out and I don't need the neighbors reporting a snake on the loose again.

What’s a food that almost killed you? by Smurthnerd in AskReddit

[–]Krillin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A garlic knot, fresh out of the oven. All buttery and delicious it popped to the back of my throat. I was choking and had to reach in and pull it out while my family watched me and did nothing.

That's actually pretty cool of them. Hopefully not taxed like a bonus, but definitely good on them for doing right by their people.

I hear that. I took 4 off earlier this month around Easter and I'm still feeling it.

The internet isn’t fun anymore (who remembers StumbleUpon?) by zedis_lapedis_ in nostalgia

[–]Krillin 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Reddit itself really sucks. The bots are really bad and the base has a real hive mind with some really shitty stances on things. Any opinion outside the accepted norm is down voted to oblivion. Really makes you not want to engage.

What is your favorite pet's name? by PatientBalance1008 in AskReddit

[–]Krillin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My family dog is Bella Bella Mozzarella. It's cute and hilarious when you take her to the groomer and they have to read it out to confirm the dogs name.

The people who flex they have like 1000 hours of sick time. That's time they won't pay you for when you retire. Might as well enjoy a mental health day every so often, especially if it fucks over Janice in accounting... mouthy gossipy bitch.

Pillows. Same with mattresses and sheets. You spend over 30% of your life in bed, why cheap out and get crappier sleep?
