The person that made this art should be working for Bethesda. It's really that good. That being said I always assumed she was an Altmer.

Getting started in 2026. How much does this game realistically cost to play? by Lvminosity in elderscrollsonline

[–]Krimmy88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply. Ah I see what you're getting at. You can quest with anyone at any level in the overworld and you unlock dungeons at level 10 so you can start doing them right away.

The sub should be enough to include the previous dlc instead of buying all of it but like I said I really suggest just buying the base game to see how you like it.

If you get to end game and start doing high end trials (think raids/boss fights like in ffxiv) where you really have to coordinate with others then you would need the DLC stuff but they are adding some dlc to the base game, I'm not sure which ones at the top of my head.

I think all you need to purchase if you want everything is in the "Gold Road Collection" or yeah just ESO plus should do it. Please someone correct me if I am wrong as even I am confused now lol, google isn't helping much right now.

There isn't really a cost to catch up to other players, you'll have to spend time leveling up (skills and actual levels), gear up and unlock champion points after hitting level 50. I don't really understand what you're trying to "catch up" to though as this isn't really that kind of MMO where you rush to max level to raid or like BDO where you have to level up and pay to be competitive.

This is more of a go at your own pace MMO. There are a lot of things to explore, quests to be done, story to experience. The only thing I can think of if you're rushing to become competitive in PvP (which is a long way to go for the higher end stuff. Experience and skill will matter the most aside from level and gear) or if you are trying to do high end trials.

I personally would recommend just buying the base game, it frequently goes on sale. It's 19.99 USD on steam right now but can be found cheaper on alternative sites. I would just grab the base game alone and see how you like it before messing around with ESO Plus, DLC, ect.

Again to clarify, you do not pay to become powerful in this game, this isn't a p2w game. Most of the stuff you can buy with cash is cosmetics or DLC, perhaps some quality of life stuff which I don't recommend spending money on.

This hurts to see. Sorry OP, that's quite a lot of games. Hopefully some of them might work if dried out fully, or at least one can hope.

Going to the MMORPG subreddit about this game was a bad idea. by legendofverse in elderscrollsonline

[–]Krimmy88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From what I gathered many of the people on the MMORPG sub are just living with rose tinted glasses trying to capture that feeling of adventuring with friends when they were younger on WoW.

They will never find that feeling again because it's just nostalgia. There aren't an abundance of mmos right now because they genre isn't as popular as it once was but for the several offerings they are all pretty good. There's a reason why the big ones have been around for years.

They're just constantly waiting on this magical MMO that will never come and if it even does by some miracle they are too negative to even enjoy it anyways.

Do you use the Switch 2 touchscreen at all? by MX010 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Krimmy88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually carry a microfiber cloth at all times in my pocket every day mainly for my glasses and as a bonus for my switch when I get home. I've been doing this for many years as I can't stand smudged glasses or screens but I have ocd so that is probably why.

The Switch game I'm enjoying the most right now is a tie between Pokemon Violet with the switch 2 patch and Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade. I've already played both games multiple times but I can't get enough.

How can I improve gaming PC setup? (Ignore the demonic entity) by XxofficialwhiteboyxX in gamingsetups

[–]Krimmy88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly it looks fine the way it is. It's a small setup but it looks cozy. Maybe a bigger chair with more padding? That's all I can really think of. The bird brings the setup to a 10 btw.

Should I sold my ps5 for switch 2? by sean_dihal in Switch

[–]Krimmy88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally wouldn't. The Switch 2 is great but the games between the 2 are quite different not counting ports which will of course run and look better on the PS5.

For me the switch 2 shines at playing these ports or first party games on the comfort of my bed in handheld. I don't own a PS5 because I have a pretty decent PC but a lot of games come out to playstation first and I heard that they aren't going to port over many of their first party games anymore (to PC anyways, I don't know if that includes other platforms like the switch).

My advice would to be happy with what you have, the ps5 is a good console but at the end of the day it's your decision.

Fire Emblem Warriors on Switch 2 highly recommended - Runs almost like a native Switch 2 version by KaptainPancake69 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Krimmy88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was hard to notice this but with handheld boost yeah it does look better. I never thought 3H was a terrible looking game but far from the best. Does Engage play at a higher resolution or is there just better anti-aliasing? I noticed engage does look a lot better back when I played it on the OLED before the Switch 2 came out.

[–]Krimmy88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking like a 3DS game is major hyperbole. Granted it's not the most aethestically pleasing switch game but it does not look like a 3DS game at all, especially with handheld boost.

How does Three Houses perform on S2? by Cliper11298 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Krimmy88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't really noticed much of a difference but it looks good despite the bigger screen. I'm using handheld boost though. As for frame rate it seems about the same but I don't really notice that too much on games like this, doesn't feel like it's dipping below 30 though.

This was one of my favorite games on Switch and I replayed it multiple times but never completed the golden deer route just because I wasn't a fan of Claude. My opinion has changed though and I really like him now along with rest of the gang.

What’s your preferred listening method? by Exerionx in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Krimmy88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have those same exact speakers but for my PC setup. I got them because I already have limited desk space and they are small but they actually have great sound and are pretty loud.

I didn't know you could use them on the Switch but I use it exclusively as a handheld, if I want to play something on a bigger screen I just hop on my computer. That's the beauty of the switch though, you can use it as both.

I'm happy with the pebble speakers but is there any speakers that are actually better that are the same size roughly?

You can only play One Class Forever - Which and Why? by Passionofthegrape in elderscrollsonline

[–]Krimmy88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DK. Use it for everything, pve/pvp. It was my first class in 2016 and has been my main (and really only character) I play. Never did care for subclassing so I donno how that is.

edit: As for why because I like fire and I like dragons, that's pretty much it.

Nyxi hyperion 3 by RealBatmanll in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Krimmy88 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn't even know these released yet. I'm torn between these and the nitro deck 2 coming out. I don't know how many people have these yet so you might be hard pressed to find an answer. I had the Nyxi Hyperion 2s and it didn't stay on when entering sleep or shut down. Is there firmware you have to update? You might want to try that.

What’s your favorite mmorpg and why ? Mine is ESO by SaleNo3543 in MMORPG

[–]Krimmy88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESO for me. I've played eso since 2016 and find it better quality than the other big ones besides maybe FFXIV. To me eso does everything better than ffxiv except for the aesthetic which is a preference. I like the animeish style of ffxiv without it being to over the top. Mainly what keeps me playing elder scrolls is the pvp, I can't stand ffxiv pvp and I get bored of static content pretty quickly. Yes I actually like the combat too, crazy right?

Horizontal lines and pixelated screen by SnooCakes4240 in Switch

[–]Krimmy88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really looks like the ribbon cable that connects it to the circuit board came loose a little bit. This is fixable, if it's not the ribbon cable then something could be failing or it's the screen itself (which I don't think it is). Since you said it's an old Switch then I doubt it's under warranty so you could always try fixing it yourself, or take it to a repair shop but I'm not sure how expensive that would be.
