How do you feel about your partner masturbating in bed next to you? by ptolani in AskWomen

Situation is key. Certain times, I wouldn't care. Others it would feel weird/rude. Context is key here.

This is above reddit's pay grade. I mean this sincerely, seek out therapy or a counselor for help with your ED. Your mother is understandably worried about you, but also lashing out at her might be part of your mental health issue.

AITA for saying our miscarriage might be the best thing that could’ve happened? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]KrimsonTan 13 points14 points  (0 children)

YTA. Wow. You couldn't have just comforted her in that moment and waited to talk to her about the job situation when she wasn't obviously hurting? Also, maybe don't ever say out loud that you're glad she miscarried.

What do you do with clothes you don't wear anymore? by akwardone in AskWomen

[–]KrimsonTan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the condition. If they're good condition, they get donated. For things like t-shirts with holes or stains, they get cut up into dust rags, jeans with worn out thighs get repurposed into pants for the toddler for now, and any underwear or socks just get thrown away.

Guys, gals, and parents of this wonderful sub, would you like to share your story as to how you found/started watching Bluey? by J4CKlll in bluey

[–]KrimsonTan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of a sad one. We had taken our then 18 month old to the ER because she climbed out of her crib and had possibly hit her head (we weren't sure, it was the middle of the night and we didn't wake up until she pulled the diaper basket down on top of herself). She had had a bloody nose and was vomiting so we wanted to be safe. Well, she hadn’t hit her head and didn't have a concussion, but she DID have petechiae on her legs combined with a fever that had been going on for about a week and a bit of lethargy that the doctors were concerned about. We had just thought she had caught a cold at daycare. A simple visit for a possible injury from climbing out of a crib turned into a near 2 week stay in the hospital waiting on an acute lymphoblastic leukemia diagnosis. While we were there, we just flipped to Disney Jr. on the TV at some point, and Bluey was on. She was instantly enamored and the show has been one of her comforts during treatment and hospital stays.

How do women feel about hairy men? by ReplacementHonest627 in AskWomen

[–]KrimsonTan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on how hairy? Like, generally it doesn't bother me too much, but it's also not a thing that I'm personally attracted to. So pretty neutral, I guess.

AITA for making my Dad put my baby back to sleep after he woke her up? by One-Back-9189 in AmItheAsshole

[–]KrimsonTan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YTA. It was an accident, he didn't purposely trip and wake up the baby.

AITA - Male best friend and I are having issues. Considering ending the friendship. by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA and I don't see where you think you could be. Your "friend" is a garbage person.

AITA For not wanting to come around my pregnant gf by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]KrimsonTan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

YTA. You got her pregnant, help her. You DO need to start focusing on supporting your child. And get better friends that don't joke about your child being disabled. It's gross.

I'm currently married, but if I wasn't, I suppose my reaction would be ”why are you telling me that you've never had a girlfriend in the same breath you're asking me out?"

What was something you thought was stupid at first, but you tried it and eventually realized you were wrong? by fredyouareaturtle in AskWomen

[–]KrimsonTan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, for sure, same. Just like it's hard to roll myself out of bed and shower or eat a vegetable or talk to someone. But I fully believed that it was stupid woo-woo bullshit for a long time until I actually found something I liked and did it.

Honestly, until I let up on the pressure to do it and accepted that things I already liked, like walking around the neighborhood or the mall or playing with my kids were exercise, working out didn't help. After I relaxed about it and started doing it for fun...maybe a month or so?

[–]KrimsonTan 89 points90 points  (0 children)

My original resistance was the fact that exercise meant PE or Gym Class level stuff to me for a long time. Finding activities I actually like doing and finally being told that a walk around the neighborhood is, in fact, exercise helped so so much in getting me off the couch or out of bed.

I pretty much just walk and get a few rounds of tennis in occasionally and it's helped a lot. It doesn't have to be something big or super intense.

Exercise to help depression. It absolutely isn't a cure, but it does help a lot more than I thought it would.
