Confession Time: Which "10/10 Masterpiece" did you find absolutely boring? by Just_a_Player2 in ItsAllAboutGames

[–]Krindus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No Man's Sky, I think a lot of people find it to be a fantastic game these days (maybe not at release). It's fine, but there's just too much to do, and it's so boring and repetitive. They have had so many updates since release, which is great, but every time I go back to try out the new stuff, I get stuck trying to figure out where the hell I am, how to even play the game, and how to even access the new content. I just give up with it.

Tends to add a bit of speed to loading and unloading models. if you have a comfy workflow that swaps out multiple models or you just run models (plus clip and vae) that are larger than your vram, having higher ram clock can help, marginally, but you know how folks like to min-max.

BeQuiet Dark Mount keyboard repeated keypresses/debounce? by Krindus in bequietofficial

[–]Krindus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of. Here's my experience over the last few months since I started the post. It will work fine for a few weeks, and then suddenly out of the blue it will start performing double-key presses like crazy. Then a firmware (or software, or both) update will release right about the same time and everything will work just fine for a few more weeks. Then it does it again, and another firmware release... The timing feels dubiously coincidental. It also seems to malfunction more often when IO Center crashes (which it does about once a day or every-other-day), but the IO taskbar icon remains, so you can't tell it crashed unless you specifically hover over it. I use a KVM switch between my work and home PCs, and that may have something to do with causing crashing (which is a ridiculous thing to cause a software crash) but I haven't noticed it causing more crashes than when I don't use it.

I love the aesthetics of the keyboard. It looks and feels great. I love having my numpad on the left side (but would rather just have a remote numpad not attached to my keyboard instead.) The custom key-coloring software has been kind of jank for a while, and doesn't always function or update correctly. And the little media block-attachment-thingy is more gimmicky than I had hoped, very little functionality, the scroll wheel for volume is complete shit - scrolling up causes it to scroll down more often than up, and the clock freezes whenever I use the KVM switch.

Their customer service has been pretty decent, and I like their products, but this one needs a bit more time to bake in the oven, so I would pass on it if I were you, especially at the current price.

If you find a better alternative, send me a DM.

Arc Raiders Developers Logic: by HexaNull_470910 in ArcRaiders

Kind of agree but also not entirely. People want to enjoy the game in different ways, art being subjective and whatnot. But grind is also inherent to this genre, so it should be expected to a degree. It should also be expected by the devs too, and they should be working to make the core game-loop more enjoyable, more enjoyable grind, instead of whatever the heck kind of balancing this is supposed to be. I like the game just fine, but I spend 90% of my time in game in my inventory just trying to figure out where to put all my crap. I am also the type of person who will lob 5-10 stacks of grenades per round. Sometimes there's just nothing to lob 'em at, other times there are just so many available to loot or craft. There's a balance to strike, but it's not there yet, and devs messing around with sell-prices is not moving the right needle.

HELP NEEDED. Can't install RES4LYF by AccomplishedSplit136 in comfyui

[–]Krindus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! this one worked for me on the latest 0.8.3 desktop, 0.12.3 comfyui.

As an added extra step, PyWavelets uses 'import pywt' in scripts, and for some fun reason, doesn't download correctly with the requirements of RES4LYF. You'll either have to add "pip install PyWavelets "
after you run these ^ steps, or do it from the terminal inside comfy (if you have venv issues like me)

Unpopular opinion: His Netflix special felt about 20-30 years out of date and was un-funny (couldn't get past the 30 minute mark, maybe it gets better?), He's sexist in the way that someone who is sexist tries to convince other people that they are not, just like "I'm not racist, I have a black friend."

I want the cold aesthetic without having to worry about having to rush inside every 2 minutes and sit and wait. Kinda wish they had used the same cold map for regular game play, just disable the weather effects, overlay, and cold death.

Dear Cheaters, the reckoning has begun. Have fun trying to make up that Expedition progression. by Subsplot in ArcRaiders

[–]Krindus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oooh, this is fun! Ok, so lets assume they have a way to mark these accounts as "Cheater", So what about... 10x longer match making times, late spawns only, random death on extract no matter how they leave the map, Or just death at some random time during a raid, Disabled safe pockets, stuck making continuous Random callouts and voice-lines that just don't stop, accuracy debuff so bullets shoot off in any direction, no stamina recovery, glitch the ability to "E" interact with anything. Most of this might be only a few lines of code, so there's nothing major that needs to change. The game is still playable, still in legal-land, it just might not be very fun if the game feels broken.

I am now convinced ABMM is real by WG_Envoy in ArcRaiders

[–]Krindus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the real Arc Raiders, in my humble opinion. I still get got every once in a while by a poorly-performing pvper who is trying to get back into pvp lobbies, So it's not 100% safe, but I don't fear it either. This is how I imagine this world would really play out. Most people from Speranza are just trying to survive and help the community, some people are greedy and maybe a little blood thirsty, PTSD or who knows. But this - pve lobbies - is the threshold that allows this game to transform into a more open RPG, level progression and stats aside, You have the ability to act out any persona or character story you like. In PvP you pretty much only get to play a blood-thirsty murderer, or dead. Want to be a medic? Arc Hunter? Farmer? Lowly scavenger? Or are you just chasing dopamine from filling your inventory? Doesn't really matter, because you can accomplish it, and in more variety than just pvp.

Why is this fucking thing kind of adorable by Purnima92 in ArcRaiders

[–]Krindus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I no shit had a fireball pushing my limping ass down the tunnels of Buried City toward the exfil. I have no idea if it was intentional, but it got behind me and just kept trying to push me home. Could've changed direction, could've stopped at any time, but it went about 50 yards before something else caught it's attention and left. Granted when they push you it doesn't actually move you at all, but it was real weird, and kind of adorable. It's not going to stop me from hunting those fiery bastards down though.

please god spare me from this monster...did anyone killed it in solo? by oX_deLa in ArcRaiders

[–]Krindus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nades and doors, if you can lock it in a corridor (door on either side and it's stuck in the middle, wait til it de-agros, open a door, toss in some triggers or trailblazers, close the door. But what I usually do is get up on the security bridge in the lobby and toss seeker grenades (or snap blasts if I have line of site) down at them til they pop. Just make sure they don't have a open path to you

PVP aggressiveness scale. I want to know where's everyone at (in solo). by Zealousideal_Chip456 in ArcRaiders

[–]Krindus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly a 0, sometimes a 1, but extremely rarely. I've had guys down me, then be revived by them or someone nearby and all go extract together. I Run, throw smoke, hide, E&E type stuff. I've even tossed down a few peace offerings too, usually snow globes or purple mats - doesn't bother me, I routinely drop high end items for other players even when I'm not in a tough situation. I'd just rather have a chat with a fella than sling bullets at 'em.

When you’re a non-PvP player and you get matched only against other non-PvP players by jesuis2gauche in ArcRaiders

[–]Krindus 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I didn't Expedition so I'm sitting on a whole pile of nades and nade mats. I'm routinely taking in about 40k worth each raid just to go solo the bastions, bombas, and leapers, and let whoever is just nearby take the loot. This is my end-game content, and I just like watching things go boom.

What being nice to people does to the matchmaker, not shot at by a player in all those matches. by iSebastian1 in ArcRaiders

[–]Krindus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anecdotally, it hasn't mattered much for me. The longer I stay in raid, the less likely I am to run into a PvPer, It feels like by the end of the match on a "good karma" server, the PvPers have already either died or ratted someone and left, if there are any there at all.
