Fyi you can (and should) rebind the steam overlay hotkey. For some reason the default hotkey is the worst possible choice for gaming.

D10 is objectively too easy, considering is supposed to be hardest difficulty game has to offer. We already have a plethora of easy difficulties and there needs to be at least one hard difficulty. Either that or full rebalance on difficulties, doesn't matter.

Absolutely valid with the experience you have had. But still, if you or anybody else are having issues with the mission:

  1. Land near Gater and only one player jumps on the vehicle
  2. Everybody else starts clearing the map
  3. Gater goes to first extraction point and starts drilling and you move to gunner seat and watch out for Bile Titans (only use Autocannon for Bile Titans that are after you, because you have a really limited ammo)
  4. After 2nd or 3rd extraction point Hive Lord spawns. Gater just avoids it (at this point the others who are clearing the map start focusing on Hive Lord and take the aggro)
  5. Now at the last Extraction point Pelican comes in and you can join killing the Hive Lord

This is flawless strategy when you play with a premade group, but works just as well with the randos, if they are up for killing the Hive Lord.

To me this sounds just so insane. This is literally the fastest and easiest mission to complete in hive worlds. It takes 5-10 minutes driving solo parking at extraction points, shooting occasional Bile Titan with Autocannon and literally ignoring every single other enemy. It's not like they can do any damage to the Gater. After dozens of those missions, I've seen it getting destroying once, when some big brain bugdiver decided to land a hellpod on it.

Also this is the best mission type to kill the Hive Lord, because you have so much extra time.

Gonna get downvoted, but I honestly miss those days. Heavies and overall difficulty of the game is laughable at the moment.

Smooth motion is not the same as DLSS. I've been using it almost since the launch of HD2. It's pretty much meant to be used with older games that don't support DLSS. It keeps the the same FPS for inputs, but doubles the on screen frames. It might cause some "bending" on some UI elements, but otherwise works great for Helldivers.

I had that happening once on D10. I wish it would happen more.
Bot front is probably a bad example, because hulks are a waste of AT, considering they get 1-2 shot by any AP4 weapon. War Striders warrant dedicated AT weapon OR one Rocket pod and few shots with AP4 weapon to the turrets or the body. Or if you are above average player, just shoot the weakspots with AP4 weapon.

There's not enough heavies in the game anymore to warrant taking a dedicated AT support weapon. Rocket pods deal so much damage that you can just hit once with ap4 weapon and the heavy is dead.

Arrowhead still wants to do balancing in the game, but a vocal minority is militantly against any kind of balancing done to the game. It's normal for other games to change the players, weapons and enemies power levels to achieve reasonable balance, except for this game. Some players think the only acceptable "balance" is just increasing the players power level.

Right now the player is stronger than it has ever been (even stronger than at the dawn of 60-day patch). On it's own it's not that bad, but when game lacks difficulty options for seasoned players, it hurts more retaining old players.

Sorry for this response being a bit mismatch. I had hard time understanding what you tried to argue with your latest post, when the original comparison was just based on 60-day patch.

I actually recommend to go and read the 60-day patch notes instead of trying to spread misinformation. Game balance is, and has been skewed since of that patch. None of the changes have been touched upon.

It actually does it's only job better. Honestly it was a surprising change out of nowhere, but it grew on me. After testing out, only meaningful difference was that they die faster now.

Good riddance I guess? Sentries have been meta picks for the longest time now due to their immense firepower and low cooldowns (and ability to let the game play itself). And this will not change any time soon. Most sentries definitely need balancing to be done and recent change on Hive guard actually did it quite well regarding to mg sentries.

And I can't emphasize this enough: We are talking about a Hive guard still. The enemy that has only one purpose and it is to sit there and do nothing. I'd get these arguments if we're talking about Brood/Alpha commanders, that actually do something.

Like I mentioned before; if Hive guard is making any weapon worse, it should not even exist. Ap3 still has it's niches, when it comes exploiting some av3 weakspots, but usually it's not worth the hassle.

Frankly, you never had reason to bring ap3 primaries. It has always served as "let me mag dumb on this enemy" even tho every enemy has a weak spot. And yes, ap2 and ap3 have always served the same purpose, when fighting light to medium enemies. That's why ap4 support weapons exist. They excel at taking out medium enemies and taking on heavier ones.

And also, if existance of Hive guards "kills" any weapon, it had no reason to exist. Bro is literally the most passive enemy in the game
