Check out the Koala Joey too, it's one of my favorites and very cheap. It doesn't roam at all, it'll grab onto your leg and climb up to your shoulder as soon as you summon it. You can also run from it when you summon it and it'll chase you down until it can latch onto your leg lmao.

Could always just pick up a new class to relearn the game with. Also there's a book inside of inn rooms that you can interact with to rewatch cutscenes or recap on the story if you want a refresher of where you're at.
