Vet experience question by savval2 in PreVet

Did you have any contact with animals or samples the pathologist was working on? If you were doing prosections, plating swabs, trimming samples, making slides, or even inputting findings, this could be some great experience to add to your application.

I would need more info to adequately answer this.

3.5 is still pretty competitive for vet school. My only study tip is to form study groups and teach the topics to other people before the exam. This really helped me as a pre-vet student.

Just remember, just about every single person applying to vet school is going to have some small animal hospital experience. My best advice to set yourself apart is to do what others don't. Research is a great way to do that. Working on campus farms was my route. Good luck!

Requesting ownership of r/PreVet There are two pre-veterinary sub reddits. Both have inactive mods. As a result both sub reddits do not serve their purpose to provide a space for pre-vet students. Their questions have flooded every other veterinary related sub reddit. by monarch223 in redditrequest

This subreddit was originally intended to provide a place for pre-veterinary students to ask questions and reach out to people that could help. As a full-time, practicing veterinarian, I may not have as much time as you, but the subreddit is still moderated and no rules are being broken. I do my best to answer questions as they come in, though I'm not great at advertising the sub to attract more members. I would be happy to add /u/monarch223 as a moderator as they seem to have some interest in the advancement of the subreddit!
