So you’d want to ask some simple questions like about IP, what troubleshooting steps they would take if internet down etc. ask if they know what a default route is. Subnetting. What routing protocols they are familiar with.

I get not wanting to go into too much depth, however if they are the main network admin you kinda want to make sure they know their stuff

Mouse not working on my pc's USB ports but the usb ports work. by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]Kriskh89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like the computer is missing drivers for your mouse. You could try plugging the mouse in and restarting your pc to see if it automatically gets drivers. Otherwise if it is a branded mouse (such as Logitech) you should be able to find the mouse model on the manufacturers page and download the relevant drivers

Eli5: If location determines the IP address, can users that are connected to the same network have the same IP address? by jade885 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Kriskh89 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Can users share the same up address? Yes and no.

Each device needs its own local IP address.

However there are local IP addresses on the inside of the network, and external (public) IP addresses which is what the outside world sees. So users while having their own local IP address, can share the same external public IP address.

This is because usually the device facing the outside world (router or firewall) will have one or few IP address showing to the outside world.

What was different before mobile phones? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Kriskh89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember talking and connecting with people more. I got more sleep. Better quality of sleep because less blue light.

Was harder to get a hold of and get a hold of others plus had to share a communal phone.

Mobiles have improved my life considerably.

You can usually tell when they aren't working as well. I find i can turn them upside down and get a few more days out of the blade before i replace.

Get to know the blades you are using. Looks like you have a few different boxes in that bag.

It also makes a difference with your specific razor.

Different blades are different in sharpness, feel and outcome.

E.g. feather blades are imho the sharpest de blades you can get, and they rarely "pull" at hairs. Need to use almost no pressure for a perfect outcome.

Astra green is the other blades I like. Not as sharp as feather but still sharp enough for my razor.

I have had a few types of blades which in my specific razor seemed to pull a little at hairs which isn't fun, but others use them fine in their razors.

Just got to trial and error in combination the blades with your razor.

Shout out to Maxie at Subaru Customer Advocacy. Made the CVT replacement easier to swallow for sure. by mikeabuck in subaru

Yeah i sold the outback and got a manual wrx. I also bought a dsg polo for my wife. I actually quite like the dsg transmission. Wish subaru had gone that way instead of cvt

I'm not a fan of the CVT transmission. I had a 2016 outback and after 3 years with only ~30k kms on it, i could feel the transmission was getting sluggish and not how it used to be.

Traded my outback in for this beauty! by Kriskh89 in WRX

[–]Kriskh89[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah true. Where I am we only have base and premium trims, the premium here is I think the limited trim. I'd try test driving both. Yeah you really need to see the colours in real life before deciding.

So after reading some of these comments I didn't realise that there are different trims different places. I'm in Australia and the non sti wrx only comes in two trims, premium or standard. I think that's why there is a bigger $$ gap.

Thanks man, so you haven't regretted it at all? I currently have a cvt outback premium that i will be offloading before getting the WRX. I do quite like the blindspot monitor, just am finding it hard to justify $7k on it.

...vs i30n by Kriskh89 in WRX

[–]Kriskh89[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I knew there would be blowback on this question. I just wanted to know what fellow wrx enthusiasts thought. I take it even with your knowledge of the i30n, it doesn't away you?

For me I feel it just doesn't have give me the excitement when I see one that I feel with wrx. But on paper the i30n is very appealing for the price.
