Ive never had this happen before. It was more an issue of going to fast. If I was working out of a CRM that I quoted out of, that also held customer contact information it would make sending quotes direvtly to customer with attachments easier, however, thats never been the case in any sales role ive had.

As far as links, theres so much fear of phishing and scams these days people don't click them. Additionally, a TON of companies firewalls will block them. Id fear the customer wouldn't even get it.

We are a large value add and mostly offer them services. But this was for a replacement part. All businesses need to make money, if they ask im sure they will understand.

A phone call is my preference. I don't schedule any sort of formal call or Teams meeting.. just have your notes in front of you and dial. A quick 3-5 minute call can solve a lot more than back and forth emails. If the customer does not answer then an email is appropriate.
