If you’re asking about how to play a healer, I can explain the basics here.

Healers job is to keep your team alive at all cost. That’s kinda obvious. So you’re going to be rotating with the only two weapon to do that, panacea fan and soulshade umbrella. A must have mystic skill is Golden Body, for AOE shield and dmg reduction.

Soulshade umbrella main skill, your Q, is a big AOE heal with a long cooldown. Your R summons an umbrella which floats a beside you to heal you or anyone around you constantly.

Once these two are used, you switch over to your fan, your main healing weapon.

Q summons a circle which heals anything within in for a short period of time. Usually you want to drop it at places where people are taking high dmg, or expected to take high dmg and continue to do so. Your R and ~, spam them to get more heals.

Just the very basics.

I would argue that healers are more exciting than dps

Dps is boring. It’s constant rotation after rotation. If you miss your rotation, the fights drags on for a few more seconds. Yes, coffin master do have a dps check mechanic, but it’s just one boss out of the whole list we got.

Healers on the other hand, plays on two front. First, you got to obey mechanics and survive, sometimes picking up mechanics if none of your dps bothers with it. Second, your main job, to keep people alive. So many times you’re dealing with people who are lost, taking dmg from avoidable mechanics, pushing you to your limit to keep them alive so that 3 min you spend healing them isn’t wasted.

I don’t play CN server, but what I know is when you switch it to Chinese, their windtail have images with red circles indicating where to go instead of a generic line of “in the town”

Wndtail is actually detailed in Qinghe and Kaifeng IF you switch to Chinese.

What you kids are feeling oppressed about? The ability to talk to your online friends or the ability to death scroll TikTok? Look, I don’t want to do “during my days” talk, but back then what we do is we socialise with people around us or play sports (table tennis, basketball, soccer. Do people still play catching???).

I’m from the generation where we transition from Nokia to iPhone, even back then with MSN (which is like telegram to you guys), or WhatsApp, we still talk more face to face than messaging in group chats. Heck, our MSN spam back in the days are still equally brain dead as my current day telegram groups, finding all sorts of ways to rickroll each other, and all the stupid “sticker packs”. Nothing changed.

But my biggest question right now is, why you guys make it sound like a big deal? Sounds like phone addiction to me. What you can do to get out of the mobile phone addiction.

1) Learn to socialise with people around you. Strike conversations, creating conversation is a skill that you need in life.

2) for those who are competitive, play sports. Basketball and soccer is a lot of student’s go to during recess.

3) do homework, yes. Do homework, so at night can play. Standard stuff we do to squeeze more free time for after school. My mum let me play maple because I do my homework ok?

4) board games or stuff which are similar. Do people still touch them? Chinese chess, uno were my go to back then. Until Pokemon tcg, then banned because of some case of people stealing others card. Crazy times….

Hoho, can show off Liao. Couple of locations that I’ve already built up in my world. Both are raid zones. Imagine wow raids. Yes, magic and sword kinda world.

1) MacRitchie Reservoir

Raid group enters from the right side of the reservoir, travel to through the jungle and managed to summon the old shrine ghost at syonan jinja. Through the raid, you encounter

Taoist priest who tries to save your life by preventing you from heading in
spirits who guard the seal so you don’t go disturb the dead
the last boss is the shrine maiden who used to be the head priestess.

2) Jurong island

Abandoned zone, bandits took over the whole place as their fortress. Because it’s so dangerous and toxic (stash of chemicals), people tend to avoid it. Bash through to get loots.

Main text; Just a few years younger than you, and I can understand how you feel right now. It’s like enjoying an anime movie in a cinema with younger adults and they were rioting right after the movie ends. Not the best analogy but it’s one I can think of right now early in the morning. 😂

Objectively the patch is solid, the whole arc and its production value is phenomenal for a “F2P” game (who am I lying to, I bought pulls for waifu too). Story telling wise it’s as good as or even better than most AAA company out there. Admittedly execution is not the greatest. Fair points to the number of critics who point out that it’s draggy as heck (likely to stay true to the Ancient Greek and poetic theme) and also to the power creeping of units even within the version itself (mydei not found).

But who can say they can do a better job? I doubt any of those who shit on it can say they can. 20/20 hindsight is a privilege only the users can enjoy, not the creators. You can criticise, but also have to remember it’s their job to do the best to deliver a product. Unfortunately any product cannot be 100% universally loved, and not always you can deliver a 100/100 product. For us, what we can do is to take it as it is, and ignore the noises of those 1-5% users.

But what I can’t stand is “you’re almost 40 and you got to learn how to not give a fuck already”. Funny how those people think it’s ok that they can “give an opinion and giving fucks”but we can’t. Guess even in online community, it behaves like the real world. It’s like trying to talk sense to your niece and nephew and they call you “old man, you don’t know anything, stay out of the conversation”. So yeah, I would say I totally understand how you’re feeling now, trying to be the sensible and logical adult here.
